don't ever listen to people who champion british rail privatization

the way it was done initially was a total car crash and now it's costing a load to make only marginal improvements

whereas if you look at nationalised rail it was loving cost efficient but nobody ever invested anything in it

mostly what happened in the uk is that spending increases were frozen so the cuts were in real terms rather than nominal

but yeah you have a better government when it comes to economics although obama did insist on that absurd tax cut when he took office
