With Thorin's skills for endless pontification, he should really get a new job as one of those guys who reads filibusters in the Senate. They could just ask him his thoughts on how Senate Bill 148-B will influence the chances of CLG at worlds or something and he could talk for like 7 hours straight.

The Korean challenger games were pretty bad. Tusin was fun to watch as a jungler, and did a much better job than I expected, but all of those teams are going to dogpiled by any of the main LCK squads. Holy poo poo Anarchy and Winners were terrible.

I still don't even know why teams get into these big promotion tournaments and try to run some objectively retarded poo poo like an entire team comp around Top Lane Cinderhulk Rengar. It seems to be like a universal rule in challenger playoffs though that you gotta have one of your main guys just picking some real off-meta dumb poo poo to try and cheese a win. Playing through an entire season of Challenger is a grueling process that ultimately results in you getting one or two playoff series to show your skills to be in one of the top leagues in the world, and that's how you wanna gamble? Rolling the dice on Top Lane Cinderhulk Rengar?

IM will probably still lose most of their games but I think they've upped their caliber at least a little.

Chobra was talking about how both Winners and Anarchy had basically no coach or support staff and they were doing the P/B all by themselves, which explains why CVmax was going such ridiculous picks too. The only reason his stuff worked vs Winners is because they were crap too. Everyone but GankZero (who still managed to look not bad) will probably fade into the mists of obscurity again.

Now that Anarchy is in though they'll probably get a support staff and a sponsor, maybe a small one. They'll probably still get dogpiled but the OGN experience will make them better for it, That, or the players might end up getting picked up by better teams (or China) like with Prime or Xenics.

Challenger teams are real bad.

Legendary had some atrocious early game but Yusui and Solo keep on dying/suiciding.

Like Bischu just keeps on killing Yusui. They're 9k gold down but they keep killing him whenever he does something like walk two Teemos form his turret.

AHAHAHAHAHAHA LEGENDARY WON A TEAM FIGHT. Almost 10k down. Bischu can't seem to lane well but he's really holding his own in duels/team fights.

C9T finally closing that game out because Bischu decided to get caught.

Yusui reminds me of an AP version of Doublelift, he'll just run in and randomly die when he's ahead.

If double could be tamed and coached on decision making he'd probably be able to win against Turtle/Sneaky.
If Link had been given proper support from the higher ups to be the captain, to actually lead, and been pushed to start talking more, CLG would be doing much better.
If Xsmithy was taught to shotcall by his coaches, he could probably be what Link had wanted.

Even now, if Pobelter is taught the non-mechanics part of the game he'd probably end up a MUCH better player than before, but I don't see the CLG higher ups actually doing anything.

Team King: Cola, inSec, corn, NaMei, Zero, Hui, SinkDream, XiaoAo join.
RNG (Royal Never Give Up): Skye, LetMe, GodLike, Mlxg, xiaohu, NoHeart and LeY join.

Did King and the old roster of SHRC just sell all their players to each other?

Royal must have really wanted to blow the team up after getting relegated.

Meanwhile: Group B of the Korean Qualifiers at the usual Riot stream.

How the gently caress is that still legal? It completely undermines the whole system. I thought Riot had new rules that demand a certain amount of player retention and other stuff to prevent that kind of spot-buying?

It's LPL , so it's actually not run by Riot proper, but by their parent company, Tencent, which is probably okay with plenty of shady stuff because it's Chinese League and is probably half about money laundering anyways.

E: in other China news, U, former EDG midlaner and current sub, is moving to Snake.

I think Riot rules do apply? VG had to sell their second team because of the 1 team per owner rule, and I'm guessing some of the complicated player swapping is to work around player retention rules. Not clear on the details but probably the finished rosters still have 3/5 players who were previously on King/Royal.
