That's a messed up thing for people to do. i do not think it's unreasonable to want people not to talk about poo poo that was obviously intended by the developers to be a fun surprise to people well before the game is even released. it's not the biggest issue in the world or anything, but it's frustrating both as a consumer and as a creator because having some rear end in a top hat tell you what the surprise is is hardly going to give the same effect as slowly earning and reading the collectables (i think that's how it works? idk i havent actually been following that closely) and figuring it out yourself.

This was literally the most obvious guess at the "backstory lore" that has been floating around especially in this topic since it was announced that one or two of the stores in the plaza are "salvagers" combined with the modern architecture, lack of humans, and squids wearing human clothes.
