Don't buy a console for games that aren't out yet, that's a waste of money. Between Mario Kart, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, New Super Mario U, Mario 3D World, Nintendo Land (yes really), Pikmin 3, and Smash Bros, the Wii U is definitely worth owning right now. Bayonetta, Wonderful 101, and Hyrule Warriors are kinda niche titles but if any of them click with you you'll get a ton of mileage out of them as well.

It's not even an issue of Codename STEAM being bad (it's mediocre at worse). The top seller of the week is a remaster at 15k copies. That sort of number a couple of years ago would have been an entry on the bottom of the chart.code:
