Do any of the other console games have the equivalent of Splatoon's gyro control scheme? If not, then I sure hope as hell other devs follow Nintendo's lead in adopting it! Joystick aiming sucks serious salty takoyaki.

I don't have a Wii U so I will never play this game but I'm reading up on the story and man this game has got the most mean-spirited story for such a cutesy thing to ever have a mean-spirited story for a cutesy thing. Good work, Nintendo, I approve.

I had a dream last night that I got splatoon and it turned out to be a racing game It wasn't what I was expecting but still kick rear end so I went into the next room to invite someone to play it and a friend was just sitting staring at a computer with a paper taped to the screen I asked them wtf they were doing and they just turn to me and go "silent hills is a really good gam" kinda like "there is no war in ba sing se" so I just closed the door and fell into a black hole

Meows are more annoying because they actually sound like the word meow, while a dog barking does not sound anything like the word bark. Everytime a cat meows, I heard the repetition of that word while a dog bark is just noise.

Never had a problem with a neighbors cat meowing all the time. Plus dog barks always sound like they want to kill you. Meows are actually sweet music in comparison.

Man, the Splatoon videos on YouTube have so many thumbs down. Did Nintendo piss off a bunch of angry nerds or something? I mean the songs aren't great but they're meant to be silly and stuff, so I don't know if that's the cause for >50% thumbs downs. That aside, are there still no pre-order things beyond the GameStop SSB stuff? If not, that makes it easy; I just need to choose between digital and getting it at Target for a silly squirt gun.

Oh, yeah, I meant the commercials specifically; after I made that post I started watching the gameplay videos on Nintendo's channel and they were extremely highly-rated, so I guess people just really, really hate squid kid commercials.
