I wanted to buy this because it's a spiritual sequel to Alpha Centauri, but I knew better then to get it right away and decided to wait for opinions on the game once people figure out the quirks and gameplay mechanics. Jak 2 introduces a character who's supposed to be a totally unstoppable badass, but then makes you escort him and he dies super easily. So later on when you team up with him again, he dies in a cutscene. It doesn't really come as a surprise, since he's already been proven to be a total chump.

No way, the RDR thread was pretty popular for a long time. GTAO is still very active and people complain a lot about playing with random players, but it hasn't stopped anyone really from giving up on the game.

In my defence I didn't like it in the first few hours rather than the last few, but most of the game seemed to be driving to bullshit fetch quests for people who were really obviously stringing you along and very little actually being a cowboy out in the wilderness. In other news, The Wind Waker HD is holds up incredibly well and Toon Link should have won an award for best comedy character, he's a tremendous doofus and gets a ton of great physical gags

I think the first Bioshock was okay. Bioshock 2 had an okay opening but they had run out of material for the recordings and history or whatever, so I kind of figured the third one would be bad, and then it seemed like there were some problems during development, so I decided not to try it.
