Yoshifan823 posted:Taylor and Selena are awesome kung fu ladies, fighting and stealing whatever is in that suitcase, then Selena betrays Taylor and knocks her out a window. Taylor goes and gets fixed by whatever weirdass society she's a part of, finds a bunch of people and makes a team full of rear end-kicking ladies to fight Selena's team of rear end-kicking ladies. Also Lena Dunham is there as a mob boss or some poo poo. Ah this makes sense. I didn't think of the middle as training exercises, I thought she was battling a bunch of random people. Now I get it. The thing about Joseph kahn is that his style is too specific and since he's been doing the same thing since toxic, this video seems really dated to me, despite the "high tech" Look.

I've been on a Josef Salvat kick lately, he's like a male Lana del Rey with less muddled production. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WOkdkSIgu3Q https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oOCtm0bUC08

I think I did something good in getting my 11 year old little sister Taylor swift tickets and ACL pass this year for her birthday. Vance Joy is also supposed to be good anyway it will be sweet.

I thought it was a tongue-in-cheek parody of that stereotypical kind of marriage where the woman is just extremely bossy. I don't really have anything against her, some of her songs are pretty catchy and I like the rhythm . But just like Clean Bandit, the other half of the album is pretty eh (Credit, holy poo poo, is such a bad song, I thought it was a really, really old song of hers but nope).

"And know we'll never see your family more than mine" Come on, that's obviously tongue-in-cheek. I gotta agree with Azran on this. EDIT: On a completely different note, Brandon Flowers has released a lyric video for I Can Change, which is not only fun to watch but even features a Neil Tennant cameo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7FmPEoC7vg4 He's also still super dreamy. Yeah, that particular line is what makes me think it's satire. Leaving aside that topic, I just discovered Cher Lloyd. I'm a big, big, big fan of her ballads more than her more upbeat songs but whatever. Now to find out she's a terrible, terrible person

Josh Lyman posted:Sorry but this is no Born in the USA: Yeah. If that song was taken in a vacuum, or released by someone like Garfunkel and Oates, I'd totally buy that it was satire, but coming from the woman whose first two songs included a song all about the world's oldest lawyer joke and a goofy song about accepting everyone's weight that was definitely played straight. I picked out the lyrics that were most obvious, but it's all written in the same voice as All About That Bass. That being said, if it came out that her entire album was satire, including All About That Bass, I would laugh hysterically.
