They're all over strategy game forums under the code name "AAR" ("after action report"). I don't think they're common outside the strategy community, though.

No, seriously, Jesse somehow finds a way to throw out a half dozen lovely jokes or other attempts at humor every ten seconds just to see if anything hits. The reason he and TotalBiscuit got Starbound keys was because they did a hugely successful Terraria series where Jesse couldn't. Shut. The. gently caress. Up. I think I mentioned it back when this thread started, and the videos of it I managed to get through ("Hey, Terraria, that's an interesting game. Hey, it has multiplayer! I guess I'll watch these videos from TotalBiscuit.") were loving slogs that felt half an hour longer than they were because Jesse lacks that little voice in his head that tells him to stop talking, or he learned to drown it out years ago with terrible jokes. Anyway, has anyone here heard of Low Tier God? He's a guy who streams mostly fighting games and it plain bad at them. He's been called "The Black DSP" because of his constant complaints that happen to be incredibly similar to Phil's. Just watch and see. You can go to his YouTube channel if you want more, but unless you like hearing the words "spreadsheet fighter" then I wouldn't suggest it.

Seriously, I watch not even a full video once and sometimes related stuff hangs on my feed for months but things actually related to what I watch most never pop up at all. Just going to the main page, of the top 12 recommendations, 4 are weird unsolved mystery/creepy phenomena type (cause I watched two videos related a couple weeks back), 2 are game grumps videos and I haven't actually watched a game grumps video in like, two years, I have a "how to play slots" video after watching a similar thing on Everything is Terrible! last month, and I have a Low Tier God video after watching that whole vs Viscant thing mentioned a couple posts above last week. The rest are what looks like a gaming news video, a John Oliver video, some Batman thing, and "Previously on X-Men". I can accept those four out of the twelve as being honestly recommended to me.

Fun fact, a "pocky game" is when two people bite opposite ends of a stick of pocky and nibble their way to the middle like in lady and the tramp and the first person to blushu~ or break the ensuing kiss loses of course there is a wikihow article on the subject So it's good that someone made a video of anime five nights at freddy's characters doing this, when you think about it

Well that's only because playlists have a separate switch from general autoplay, you have to switch both off to stop it entirely.

Also, autoplay of a playlist is still not disabled if you click on the link for the playlist itself instead of an individual video.

You'd think that since when you're watching a playlist all that does is create redundancy, in that case they'd hide the first autoplay button so you can't switch it or make both buttons toggle the same switch, but it's Youtube's layout and they have no goddamn idea what they're doing at any time ever see: putting the "next video" and "previous video" buttons directly on the player next to the pause button where they are easily pressed by accident, instead of on the tab with the playlist itself on it where it already made loving sense CJacobs fucked around with this message at 07:10 on May 21, 2015 |

I never understood why the hell they made the autoplay button a permanent feature regardless of whether you're using a playlist or not. It started this month or maybe last one but it's such a baffling thing. Do people have that much time to waste sifting through random videos? I'm glad to be able to watch everything in a day at 2x speed if I'm lucky.

You can turn it off when you're not on a playlist, thankfully. In fact, there are 2 separate options in different locations for turning it off when you're not on a playlist, and 0 options when you're on one. Youtube is good

I'm glad to be able to watch everything in a day at 2x speed if I'm lucky. I like it a good deal for when I'm using Youtube for music, since I like to listen to a lot of stuff that you can't easily find good stations for. (I'm one of those weird people that likes Vocaloid and Touhou remixes, both of which are way too easy to find people playing the same dozen songs everybody's heard and grown tired of and way too hard to find the interesting new stuff that's actually pretty good.) It's actually pretty decent at staying on a similar style to what video you start it with in my experience as well, though that may just be my account being overly laden with the stuff. It seems they've also finally made the system a little smarter when it comes to videos in a series, like when you're catching up on an LP. It used to be I'd get a random video with a 50/50 chance that it was even from the same game. Now it'll pull up the next video in the series with a lot more consistency. Also, if you're tired of something constantly popping up in your feed from a random video you watched on a whim or on accident, you can go in and manually remove it from your watch history. It did wonders for me when my brother thought it would be funny to flood my account with MLP stuff.

Protip for people who don't want things recommended based on their watch history because YT's algorithms for generating those recommendations are loving jank: 1. Click 'History' 2. Click buttons at the top of the list Now your related videos won't be full of My Little Pony episodes because of that one video six months you accidentally watched. Of course you'll still get recommendations based on your subscriptions. Checking just now, there's a French comedy channel on my home page for god knows what reason.

Rather, they're using some terrible generic anime doll animating software, which is very limited in the stuff it can actually animate. So the best they can do is texture swap some existing anime girl in to whatever colours they want.

The thing about making a big splash at this point is that you need to either really excel at something that has already been shown to be successful (and you can't teach that) or find something really unique that causes you to go viral (and you can't teach that either). Otherwise, you're drat near guaranteed to just be white noise.
