Inhales deeply Yyyeaaahh, that's the poo poo I needed. That was totally worth the weight. Now just gotta wait one more week... Also, I gotta a bunch of guys with latino names in my games. If anyone sees "pablo" tell him I said hey, he did good work. I carried him just as hard as I carried everyone else, but he did better than I expected.

Aww, it's over Splattershot Jr is insane and I love it. Gotta love making a mad dash at the start of Warehouse to get to the crates in the very center and then point-blank splatting their charger who climbs up these a second or two later. Totally going to be using that or the even faster firing splatter in the full game. In fact generally playing ambush tactics by hiding in your ink and popping out to get enemies who wander nearby is surprisingly effective, and that's without the gear in the full game that hides your wake when moving in ink e: Also the EU version having "Nice!" and "To me!" instead of "Booyah!" and "C'mon!" is bullshit Icedude fucked around with this message at 01:14 on May 24, 2015 |

Couldn't get used to the motion controls with the time I had. I won pretty much all of my games and was in the top 2 on my teams, regardless. Teaching myself to watch the gamepad is harder than I thought it'd be. Also, I think I might be one of the few people that doesn't like playing roller.

IMO it's really encouraging that not only did they get the server issues lined out within about 30 minutes, they extended the demo by a whole extra hour to make sure everybody got a chance to play.

A team full of rollers can't do anything if someone spawn camps and they are all 4 respawning. Can't wait to see hilarious tactics in ranked play in a few months.

Game loving owns. I'm starting to get the hang of the charger, I found that it works real well if you arc the shots a bit. It's easy to forget that the name of the game isn't so much your k/d but getting as much ink out as possible.

I think I see what you mean, I loved the hell out of the roller in the first testfire, then tried the splatter shot jr. in the third one, this time i started off with the roller for two matches but it's just too slow. Splatter Shot Jr. is the speed.

That was fun, but the gyro controls will take a little getting used to. I'm a little ashamed to say that I was the sort of noob that kept using the roller without shaking much, but, in my defense, I almost always got 800+ with it. I lost more often than not, but I lost with pride.

one roller, two splattershot jrs, and one either splattershot or charger if the charger is good is probably the best team setup. i would know, as I'm now a professional splatoon player, and I've made the official tier list too.

Managed to get in three games, won the first one by a good margin, lost the next two by a couple of percent. I definitely need more time to get used to the controls, but it was fun. The only weapon I personally did well with was the roller, but I think that was just due to my control issues. Once I have some single player down I think I'll be ok.

That sounds pretty good: a roller to advance, two splattershots to do most of the legwork and a charger to support from high ground. Unfortunately, since almost everyone in this demo was a noob by definition, I never saw a team without two rollers.

So spawn camping isn't really viable, but super-jump camping totally is. Nothing like splattering someone the instant they land.

I think I made a lasting impression on people with my roller technique. Go where no roller has gone before. I was painting the top of box and charger points with the roller, the next match everyone started doing it, made it easier for me to go paint other things. Also a Team full of roller beat a team full of Splattershot Jr.

I had lots of fun winning some matches with the Splat Charger. It can be really useful guarding an area, but it's not as useful for getting points for yourself. The exception being long unclaimed areas that you can just charge, shoot and move a little to the left. I think the trickier part is trying to adapt to how everyone is playing, especially now since people are trying out weapons. I do wish people actually used the suction part of the Suction Bomb more, it can be really good for taking people out from sniping spots and hiding behind walls.
