i've been doing some project planning stuff recently and have just been assuming consistent four week months. this means it doesn't matter exactly what date we start on and also builds in an invisible month of leeway into a year long project

Best part is that there is no sign of any of the cash cow ships these idiots have paid tens of thousands of dollars for.

This is exactly it... Where are the ships that have been paid for? I find it interesting that in this leak, NOTHING that has been purchased, was revealed. So, does that mean they have done absolutely NOTHING on the Banu MM, the Cat, etc..?

when the first hour is completed, that's 1 o'clock. when the second hour is completed, that's 2 o'clock. when only half the second hour is completed ("half two"), that's 1:30. so the british who think that half two means 2:30 are objectively wrong and dumb

they were involved in digital at the very beginning, they were just unwilling to start investing in plant to start up camera production again after polaroid wrecked their poo poo in the seventies. given the dedicated digital camera market is already disappearing rapidly in favour of smart devices it seems like that might have been a wise choice (they still make money on digital printing services, but fundamentally photography itself is a way tighter-margin market than it used to be)

maybe, but in doing so they also wasted the opportunity to be leader in sensors and related tech. that would've been such a better alternative than what ended up happening to them in the last 20 years

but they'd have had to start from zero in a market they had literally no experience in - it's hard to criticise them for not suddenly becoming a consumer electronics company overnight, and by the time it became obvous film's days were numbered it was way too late to do anything but try to transition the stuff they were good at to the new market

it's not like agfa are doing any better, they're reduced to a bunch of specialised fields now, and fujifilm are pretty much just a licensing house for their name these days (and of course polaroid, the ones with most to lose from digital, are literally just a brand and nothing else now)

e: not like kodak didn't do a whole bunch of really stupid poo poo:
