My elementary school was so poor some unlucky kids (including me) got shoved into AFTER SCHOOL ADVENTURES because there just wasn't enough buses to take all the kids home. You pretty much just did your homework or played games for an hour.

When I was helping the computer programming teacher set up computers for her during lunchtime, one of the IT guys came in to make sure the electric system was fine and then decided to try and explain what rule 34 was to me and the teacher

Middle School was a sad sad sad joke.

If it was high school I probably would've failed because I didn't turn in assignments but I kept getting 4.0s on the EOGS so they bumped me to the next grade and put me in advanced classes.

I remember I had a substitute teacher who saw I was looking at a picture of Darwin fighting Jesus who decided to tell me the glories of atheism. I gave him the polite "what the Christ smile" I'm sure everyone is familiar with.

I Failed At Anime 2022
I didn't encounter any anime club members in the wild until college, when I had a class with some. I talked to them sometimes in class and they invited me to the club but they were a little too intense for me so I never went.

There wasn't anything like that in my high school but I was in band when all the clubs met so it wouldn't have mattered.

At my old high school now they don't even let clubs meet other than a few minutes before or after school, so if you ride the bus you can't be in a club. :(

Best class I ever had was a computer class. I showed my neighbors how to use emulators and we pretty much spent the entire year completing our work in about 10 minutes and then gaming the rest of the time.

Once though they found an SNES rom called SuperAdultHentai or something and of course they loaded that fucker up and everyone had a good laugh.

The anime club at my high school was populated entirely by weird freshmen, and in college I was too busy with jazz band to go to clubs.

The group of nerd friends I hung out with in high school often went to the computer lab during lunch time and loaded up Unreal Tournament to the computers there. And even before that, in middle school, I had this class that taught basic keyboarding skills where I finished the classwork in like 10 minutes and spent the rest of the time playing Stepmania.

Maybe my Uni has a chess club. Not enough people I know in real life know how to play it and it's much more satisfying playing with real pieces than on a computer screen.
