I'd say that the player character's potential for wildly inconsistent morality is related to CHIM, too. Saving a shopkeeper's daughter and then robbing them blind, or being the leader of the Mage's Guild and the Dark Brotherhood at the same time, or serving 15 different Daedric Princes for the loot while trying to save the world from another.

Ah, I've never played Arena so I didn't know about this. There's nothing like that in Morrowind, Oblivion, or Skyrim to my knowledge. I figured that panel was showing some innate witchhunter-y sense Katia's always had but never realized wasn't normal.

I am positive that Kazerad would not make a joke about something that obscure. I kind of doubt he's played Arena either. Pretty sure this is just one of Katia's latent abilities she doesn't realize everyone else doesn't have.

I kinda like the idea of a story about an incredibly talented person who has been so downtrodden by misfortune that they eke out a miserable self-loathing existence, so convinced they're worthless that without outside intervention they would never even realize how capable they are.

I figured it was a joke about the Elder Scrolls interface again. It doesn't list the exact widths of things, but your character does mysteriously know the exact weight and value of every object.

Someone in the 4chan thread pointed out that, if Katia's sprite proportions in the comic are taken literally, that picture with the measurements means she is about two feet tall.

I pointed out that her proportions change almost every panel and the measurements are more based off the source material. In retrospect, though, it's a little strange in-universe confirming the comic's art is nonrepresentative. It's kind of like that time one of the trolls in Homestuck referred to John as a "pink monkey" and everyone went "you mean he's NOT stark white?".

I've played a little Arena, though not much. I can't really deal with a lack of mouselook unless I'm playing as a huge, stompy robot or something. Peas accurately inferred my thought process on the joke (plus, it's kind of a running thing that she can tell time very accurately by looking at minor stuff like how much a wound has healed).

I'd not worry about it IMO. In fact, maybe embrace it! Change the proportions around in scenes to create the biggest dramatic impact. The ability to be loose with proportions is one of the neat advantages comics have as a medium.

I remember someone pointed out that Katia's self-doubt clouds her realization that she has talent: in this update she mentions being able to read night-writing, which I assume is like braille? I'd have to assume that's not terribly common of a talent to have.

If you get a banner ad on a Booru site, Google Analytics will show what image people were looking at when they clicked the ad, AND for how many pages that person stuck around. Strange patterns are already emerging.
