I believe you're not allowed to join a game as a team with friends yet is an attempt to prevent teamstacks which is commendable but weird. I'll jump through their hoops. I'm not afraid to face my friends.

I think the way all these updates roll out is an attempt to sort of keep the skill ceiling as low as possible to start and then slowly raising it, like few more basic weapons at the start so everyone's used to them, maps that are easy to learn, then trinkle more maps to learn, more complex variation to weapons and hopefully the population is skilled enough to fend off groups of coordinated buddies.
