Steven Universe is The Liberal Agenda as a show, because it's playing catch up for a lot of other things. It pisses off two or three types of nerds: 1) People who use "politically incorrect" unironically. 2) People who think that watching literally any cartoon or really doing anything besides staring blankly at a wall is "creepy" 3) People who can't find bronies around to make fun of anymore and want whatever is popular now to be "the new bronies" (possibly the same as 2) Steven Universe is not Gravity Falls, please direct Steven Universe discussion to the Steven Universe thread. Really. I'm tired of them just dumping pictures they found on the internet there, even haters coming in and talking about how the show is too tumblr and needs to be more like reddit or 4chan would be a nice change. The players take on the roles of kids who are staying in the town, stumble onto the weirdness and the "adventures" are their investigations into that weirdness. You could use White Wolf's WoD:Innocents rules (which modifies their normal system to reflect playing children).

There's a game called InSpectres, which is all about the PCs investigating paranormal things, influenced by the Ghostbusters films. The default assumption is that the PCs are running a business about taking care of supernatural problems in a world where they're common things viewed as something like a pest control issue, with pretty simple rules. You could alter some of them to better fit the style of Gravity Falls (normally the PCs are trying to keep their business afloat and there's a sort of "reality tv" mechanic where you can influence upcoming events by talking about them), and it probably wouldn't be too hard although it has been a while since I read the rulebook.

gravity falls would be a better adventure game because there should not be combat, kids with no flashy magic jrpg powers just running around a forest trying to look for various cryptids and bring back evidence of their existence is interesting and I don't think any game has that exact premise. E: looking for those loving eight pages does not count, there's similar scooby adventures in mansions and amusement parks but not a forest
