I was thinking of picking this game up again and was wondering if I should just stick with my Berserker, or try out the new Gunner class, or maybe a Warrior? I like being able to tank just for the ease of soloing/quick queues but that isn't a requirement for me. I want to be able to dish out some decent damage while not getting completely kited around in PVP. Should I try out a Gunner/Warrior or is Berserker worth sticking with?

AzureSkys

Zerker is getting some buffs to the class soon, so seems pretty viable. There's double xp going on for a few more days so it's pretty quick to level things to get a feel.
The biggest difference for me with Gunner is you don't have to be so close to things to do your best damage leaving a bit more room to read attacks, attack, and dodge a bit less. My friend who's a super good slayer is doing better as gunner due to that, and they're a bit OP at the moment. They got their best Corsair's Stronghold as Gunner, too.

But Warriors and zerks can fill the tank roll, too, which really helps with queues. It's quite hard as gunner to get in them atm.

Yes warrior guy in NFA was most helpful, Lancer is now 63, looking forward to the last story quest.

Now that I actually looked at the 8bit weapon skins I wish I'd leveled my Lancer to 65 instead of my sorc.

Is there like, a good solid guide to what I should be doing? I played at release and got my Slayer to 55 before quitting, and now I'm back other than leveling I'm not really sure what I should be shooting for once I hit endgame. I see all these names, currencies, and abbreviations and have no idea what they mean.

Also, is there an equivalent to icy veins or elitist jerks around somewhere? I have no idea what an optimal rotation is anymore. :v:

I've been following this dude's guide on leveling by grinding dungeons and have been leveling up fairly quickly. There is also this guide which tells you where to grind BAMs, which is another way to level up quickly. I'm really not sure which is faster (hopefully someone can let me know), but I like the dungeon grinding more as it is just more entertaining to me than nonstop grinding BAMs.

Is the quest "The Reckoning" were you need to escort Rhodos the last quest yall were talking about being a pain in the rear end? NPC steps in the room and 4 guys turn to me like I was the one causing problems. Needless to say I was dead very quickly.

Some of them can't be removed if they combo off of themselves, like Titan's Favor. The UI, to say the least of things, is not especially flexible.

BRHM is kind of a thing of misery for 1st timers like me and the reaper in my party. I can't pay attention to everything well enough.

Thanks for the invite into NFA, too. I'll try to get leveled soon.

Yyyyyep. It is worth sticking with because it's part of the requirements for the Idoneal gear but you need to pull out every trick you have and then some to win it.

Can you pull the guys in the front room prior to starting the escort portion, or will they respawn when the NPC starts following you?

How does into botes?
I only found the final quests to be a bit slow to grind through the mobs, but then again my Lancer had a Masterwork +12 Lance that was slightly better than the Level 62 Avatar Weapon, Level 58(?) Attack Speed Scrolls, and Elite Bravery Potions. On my Gunner it was "It's a Gunner everything is easy".

So, how the hell do people pay for all the MES/MWA you need to get you gear anywhere? I spent all the MES I got so far on trying to MW one piece (failed, of course) and I'm down to 40k gold, most which comes from my old lvl 60 char. MWA is 100g, MES 500 on my server.

I suppose most simply buy the stuff from cash shop, it's not possible otherwise.

Can someone write a little about crafting? I'm still only level 15, but I do as much gathering as I can, and I disassemble old stuff instead of selling it. No idea if I should just sell the stuff I gathered or start leveling up crafting, or if the whole system is worth it at all.

Do your dailies (especially RG and such), play the market, gather, craft if you have enough money. Also your prices are ridiculous. MES are 40 gold here, MWA is 25 gold.

Everyone who likes TERA moved on to NA since Gameforge is pretty much universally hated, someone wrote up why exactly some time ago. So, yeah.

If you are for some reason getting blocked from NA/Steam version someone posted a good guide to get through the NA login via proxy, after the login the game servers themselves just don't care where you are.

I just barely finished my alchemy artisan test, but I'm considering switching to armor crafting because pure cobala is so loving expensive and I need a trillion for pvp gear. Is this a good idea, or is there some way to make a poo poo Tom of money with my alch to make up for it?

Pretty much stuck with buying a costume via $$$/EMP or fashion coupons, the armor tends to stay pretty revealing, even for male characters half the time.

At 65 you'll receive the outfit from the Gunner loading screen which is more like a Mass Effect costume than underwear.

I don't play lancer, but if you're mostly looking for big numbers I guess you want a DPS class anyway. Gunner is more mobile and dynamic (there's an element of RNG in terms of "skill x has a chance to eliminate cooldown for skill y"), while berserker is a bit slow and needs charge-up time, but does absolute massive crits once you hit them.

Gunner, and I think Archer and Sorcerer (which I haven't tried yet) also don't require you to be in the face or tail of the bosses. So you get a bit more time and room to read attacks and dodge. Slayer, zerk and Warrior leave lots more flipping out and in and around so it can be considered more fun if that action is your thing. I see the best DPS come from skilled warriors, then slayers and zerks but all depends on the player.

In my personal DPS ranking it's Zerker > Slayer > Warrior but war also increases Party DPS. Zerker does ridic damage in the right hands, but all of these rankings assume top-tier players anyway (ie best DPS I've seen)

There's a bunch of options for fashion coupons and you'll get 5 every time you complete a dungeon (10 if you use your free elite voucher/subscribe for elite status). At least a couple are a pretty straightforward catsuit type thing.

Its easier to do good damage as a Gunner but you can potentially do more damage as a Zerker.

Lancers are for crazy players who want to face block 1 hit KO attacks every 5 seconds so don't pick one unless that sounds fun to you. (It's the best though)
