That said, I have taken on board your critique of my Democrats write up and made adjustments that I think will be far more to your liking. Feedback like yours is what makes this all worthwhile, so please keep us all informed of your feelings on the matter =)

Sadly, not everything posted in GBS is satire. Some goons really are that dickish.

Hang on, you're going to defend a therapy by casting aspersions on people by labelling them "autistic"

I'M CONCERNED ABOUT A NUMBER OF THINGS
http://www.theage.com.au/business/t...601-ghduyq.html

quote:

Business expectations have dropped further despite a federal budget widely designed to lift confidence and widely recognised as being pro-business.

A survey of 800 business executives conducted by Dun & Bradstreet in April and May saw expectations for sales, profits, employment and investment drop sharply after the release of the budget.

Retail is one of the few industries that reported an improvement in expectations, albeit a minor one.

Profit expectations for all industries dropped with the biggest expectations decline in the manufacturing, construction and wholesale sectors.

The expectations index for the upcoming third quarter dropped 7.3 points and is down 19.5 points from the same period last year.

Director of Australia and New Zealand Steven Brown attributed the drop to concerns about the slow growth of the economy and its transition from mining-led growth to services businesses.

<p>
Photo: Dun & Bradstreet
"It appears that businesses, despite stimulatory news in the budget, have shelved expansion plans until the end of this year at the earliest," Mr Brown said in a note.

A significant proportion of businesses were concerned about consumer confidence (38 per cent), weak demand for their products (24 per cent) and cash flow issues (14 per cent).

But almost half of retailers reported they expected to see an increase in sales, up slightly from the previous pre-budget quarter.

<p>
Photo: Source: Dun & Bradstreet
Economist Stephen Koukoulas, an advisor to Dun & Bradstreet, said the results confirmed the economy appeared to have hit a brick wall.

"The severe slumps in expected sales and employment are particularly worrying for the business outlook, while the actual performance of the economy has also undershot prior expectations.

The weaker expectations are in line with disappointing capital expenditure data released by the Australian Bureau of Statistics last week that was described by economists as "bleak".

<p>
Photo: Source: Dun & Bradstreet
March-quarter capital expenditure dropped 4.4 per cent over the first three months of 2015 on a seasonally adjusted basis, and 5.3 per cent on the year. This was the fastest rate of contraction seen in five years.

The median estimate from economists surveyed by Bloomberg was for a fall of 2.2 per cent.

Crucially, business investment intentions for the next financial year only inched higher.

Looks like the economy won't be picking up any time soon despite Sloppy Joe's assurances. It's almost as if cashed up customers are a key driver of business fortunes. Pity you don't get many cashed up customers when you gut funding to lower income earners and make slowing wages growth one of your key priorities. I wonder what it will look like when Joe's brain melts upon realisation that loving people over financially is not conducive to a sustainable business environment?

Calls mount for US-led coalition forces to take on direct combat role against IS Tuesday 2 June 2015 7:51AM

Later today in Paris, Julie Bishop will attend a major international summit to review the military strategies against ISIS in Iraq and Syria. The meeting follows a number of significant gains made by the jihadists, who in recent weeks have taken the cities of Ramadi and Palmyra. And it comes as calls mount for US-lead coalition forces in Iraq - including 330 Australian trainers - to take on a direct combat role against Islamic State. Retired Major General Jim Molan was chief of operations for coalition forces in Iraq in 2004 and 2005.

Jim Molan joins RN Breakfast.

Bad news Jimbo (you unremitting pile of festering turds) the bar fight that GWB started is what has lead us down this path. The war that was opposed by the biggest public protests in history http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Protests_against_the_Iraq_War and didn't have the backing of the international community. That very, very, very stupid war. Either you like watching things go boom or you are a loving idiot.

Asylum seeker boat crashes onto reef after being turned back by Australian ship: Indonesian police By Indonesia correspondent George Roberts Updated about 2 hours ago

Indonesian police say a boat carrying 65 asylum seekers has crashed onto a reef after being turned back by Australian authorities[/b]. Those aboard — 54 Sri Lankans, 10 Bangladeshis, one person from Myanmar and five additional crew — told Indonesian police they were trying to get to New Zealand.
There were four women and three toddlers on board. They are now being held on Rote Island off West Timor after crashing onto a reef near the remote Landuti Island. One of the crew members fled from police and has not been located. Island chief of police senior commissioner Hidayat told the ABC the latest boat was intercepted by an Australian border patrol after setting off from West Java on May 5. The asylum seekers told police they were transferred onto a more seaworthy wooden boat, given dried fruit, biscuits, fuel and life jackets and escorted back to Indonesian waters.

The asylum seekers were found Monday by fishermen after the crash. They will be transferred to Kupang in West Timor on Tuesday. The Australian Government is yet to respond to the claims.

Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand recently ended the practice of turning asylum seeker boats away.

Sorry, a broke student has better things to do than buy avatars for others.

You do realise that Autism Spectrum Disorder is a legitimate disorder under DSM 5 and making fun of autists/autism sufferers is basically like laughing at someone with schizophrenia or bi-polar? You realise that's a pretty lovely thing for someone who normally loves to preach from the moral high ground?
