I think the game does need more "calls" though - the remaining directions on the D-Pad, A+B+L could all be tied to stuff to "say", and there's also a little room on the touch screen for a few more

You want flops, try Codename Steam - it came out in Japan a couple weeks ago and didn't even chart, and that was in a week where the lowest game on the chart sold less than 2k copies. I dont know how you could make a game of it though, because the guns only unlock when targeting someone they scan as mentally unbalanced (Hence the title). And even then its just a paralyzer shot unless the gun scans them as full-blown psychotic. Then it causes goopy explosions in people.

Has anyone else tried Recon? Because its surprisingly useful. Just getting a glance at where the other guys are is a real advantage when you respawn, because chances are they'll still be there after you Super Jump.

The gear bonuses are fairly negligible - I seem to remember a comparison around launch that showed that. Just pick what looks good on your girl/guy.

Gear abilitychat: Swim speed and run speed feel really noticeable to me, even at +1. Notably, swim speed +1 lets you outrun krakens super easily. Run speed is probably worth it for rollers and the slower shooters in particular.

This is exactly why I switched from the Krak-On Roller to the Aerospray RG -- with the roller it's too easy to just roll roll roll and then run out of ink, but with the Aerospray I'm spraying, squidding, jumping up and spraying and then squidding again. I rarely run out of ink this way, and plus it makes it easy to just poop out mines all over the place because my ink is usually full right after I squid. oopsie rock fucked around with this message at 01:30 on Jun 4, 2015 |
