You should go with one of the good formations from the knight book, but you'd end up with 4-5 knights in 2000 points. 375 used to be the standard knight price, but now there are the missile/AA pods and melta gun sponsons, so you can spend extra points. I'd love to get a shooty knight and kit them out, but they would end up costing about 460 points.

What I will do is always field a knight in my Mechanicum/Mechanicus force.

Are you allowed to use the Krios Battle Tank in normal games of 40k, or is it strictly a 30k unit?

Iron Hands would be better, because then you're getting +1 on those sweet sweet repair rolls (and FNP and IWND).

No one knows yet, it's likely most models will still be usable.

40K? Extremely doubtful- WHFB is being rebooted because it earns 8% of the companies bottom line. Paint makes more profit for fucks sake. They were desperate to do something with it. So here we are.

What if they try and do a Warmahordes thing and make the two systems inter-playable.

That would be bad. That would be reeel bad.

As it appears that Ghost Hand is now coming over in July, I would like to propose the date of the September Warhammer World trip for...

Wednesday 9th September 2015 AD

My own preference would be for a multiplayer game as I think it is more social than a set of one on one. I was thinking we could book one of the bigger tables and play a multiplayer game. I feel we should keep the individual points down to allow for speed of turns as I think having it be an all day slog should be avoided. I feel we could agree on a set of rules in advance (I am happy to take the lead on this) and as such we can just arrive, hug and play.

I also feel that by keeping it light it would allow those who want to check out the exhibition part can have opportunity to do that without adversely affecting the game. We could also come up with our own scenario rules that could be silly/destructive as we wish.

I know Krushgroove was up for it and he was responsible for my first WHW experience, he also plays with a group of friendly guys who might be interested. A few others expressed nterest.

Goonpocalypse 1 was a draw. Do we want to stage a return to D'Jimigan's bridge and see if the forces of galactic good can overcome the evil imperium?

Thoughts?

Sounds good to me. Going full apocalypse (small one around 3-4k a side) for the game or keeping it simple? Or maybe some sort of FFA with modded Triumph & Treachery rules :)

Happy to bring along either the Sallies or the Ork Horde.

So far this sounds seriously stupid, even for Warhammer.

my house rule:

Infantry without Jump Pack or Jet Pack and Vehicles without Flyer or Skimmer need LoS to the terrain they are moving to over their path (so they can go around a wall,.but they need to go around the wall, not through it)

Rumor floating around that the Assault Marines rules have been spotted. The Drop Pod section doesn't mention that it's free anymore, and for every five models you can take an eviscerator for 25 points.

Yeah but there are also no rules for when your terminator takes out a load-bearing wall and collapses the whole building on top of his squad

It was probably smart to decouple the transport option from switching out the jump packs even if it comes out more expensive than before, especially for 5-man squads. Not really sure about that eviscerator option though. 25 points for a one attack model is a bit much.

70 pts for 5 CC marines isn't appalling, and 85 pts for 5 with jump packs is pretty good. Maybe 10 with 2 flamers could be handy as an objective grabbing squad.

Interesting. I wonder if this means that each limited edition codex has its own material unique to the Chapter after all?

Eviscerator may be a handy back up to the Sergeant's melta bombs if you want to go tank hunting (iirc they're a 2-handed chainfist, right?).

Interesting that they appear to be a rules sheet from inside the kit, I guess GW is starting to do this more often and not just with flashy new units.

Yeah, eviscerator is a chainfist that loses Specialist Weapon but gets Two-Handed.

Technically the assault squad is a flashy new unit - its a brand new sculpt

It's a replacement for an existing kit with a couple of new options.

A 'flashy new kit' would be something like the Morkanaut which was released before the new Codex and had no prior rules.
