They confirmed the Morgan Bros and James Wong already, so the article is just poorly written.

Chris Carter is a pretty good writer. The first X-Files movie which he wrote and directed is fantastic. The second one would have made a fine 45 minute episode in a revival series but it didn't work as a movie.

Carter wrote Fight The Future together with Spotnitz but Rob Bowman directed it. Carter did the second movie.

It's pretty dope.
Watching Ice on Netflix (in HD!) and the guest cast is pretty good. I didn't recognize Felicity Huffman at first.

Chris Carter's a fine writer with some very, very obvious flaws. More importantly, X-Files was always kind of a melange of visions, so I just wouldn't want him to write every single episode.

Of course, a lot of that also depends on how heavy they decide to go on the myth arc.

Wasn't that guy from Frasier there too? A real must-see-tv power-hour, that one.

Preferably he'll be some low level guy they work with who's hopelessly in love with Scully.

Xander Berkeley? He's been in pretty much everything, most prominently 24 and Nikita, but I don't think he was ever in Frasier. He's an excellent character actor, though. X-Files fans should check out The Booth at the End, if you haven't already.

Never mind. I was thinking of a completely different episode. I must have swapped him and Kenny Bania in my imagination. I was thinking of Dan Butler in the satanist high school one.

I kind of want to watch the original series again, but even watching back then I gave up after production moved to LA.

Is there any list of episodes worth seeing/skipping online? I'm not sitting through loving FPS again.

I suppose I can just look through summaries of the first 5 seasons or so and will recall the good ones. Are any of the post-Mulder episodes good though? (I know he comes back in the end, tuned in for that and saw a bunch of alien terminator supermen and other random bullshit.)

Well, I'm sure there'll be a bit of controversy but for post-Mulder episodes, I like Roadrunners, Redrum, Salvage, Medusa, Lord of the Flies, Sunshine Day... That's about it.

I wonder if the episodes will all be followups on some of the more favourite episodes. Like a series of stand alone eps that aren't linked to each other but do revisit some of the more critically acclaimed stories that had hooks for sequels.

One episode I would be interested to see them follow up on is Eve. Seems like you could do a lot more with that premise. (Although the same could be said for countless other episodes of the show I guess)

Synchrony is one that always had a weird implication for the future of the show, it's a bit too big to have in an episode of the show but a person from the future did kind of come back to the past and say that the future is horrible (but not because of the colonization, only because of people) and the episode implies that despite his efforts that will still happen.

His first absence was written as he was abducted by aliens and it kind of works. The second time when Duchovny quit the show basically for good he goes into hiding but leaves behind Scully and his kid and it makes no sense.
