Looking to dip my toes into a wider pool of RP options. While I'm not exactly strapped for cash, cheap and/or free systems are preferred.

To give a starting point, I've played or am at least somewhat familiar with Risus, Dogs in the Vineyard, Microlite20, Fate Accelerated, and Maid RPG. The majority of my RP experience has been with Microlite, followed by Fate.

A lot of John Harper's games

it otally agree. you've still got to acknowledge that poo poo though because the whole racial eugenics thing is a major theme of his work and shows up all over the place. i still like the conan books and some of the other robert howard pulp i've read for the most part, but in his personal life he was pretty much a bpiece of poo poo and that shone through in a lot of his work.

Uhm...what's a part of world history that you think could be explored more in RPGs? I'd like some more non-Lovecraftian stuff from between WWI and the end of the Cold War but you probably already knew that.

I know there's at least one where everyone is a caveman and has to talk in stereotypical caveman speak with limited words per character, but I vaguely remember a somewhat more serious take on the matter of stone age/prehistorical gaming, damned if I can remember what it's called now though.
