Gotta get that burning hype going right this second so everyone forgets about it by the time it happens and the game continues to fail. Wildstar was an inside job.

Apparently Wildstar just had a "special event," except there wasn't anything special about it and no one won any prizes at all, it was a mandatory stress test so they rounded everyone up in the main city and disconnected everyone that didn't join in. good job crbine

If you remember their E3 event I'd say not handing out a title is perfectly in line with anything else they do.

They already gave a title out for the beta stress test, which also had GMs show up and spawn giant mobs and fireworks and such.

That's too much effort this time.

oh i got those off the subreddit there's no way i'd actually play the game again

it's not technically the beta but since the game's going f2p in september i'm betting the devs are treating this as a secondary beta period, unofficially

which means they won't fix any issues anyway, they didn't the first time

quote:

some of you are angry and upset. I'm not saying that's it wrong for you to fell that way. However, in my opinion it was awesome to sit on the stairs in Thayd with my guildies just hanging out. Not doing anything stressful/needing concentration and just have a good time. A lot of time we forget that this is a game and that we play for fun. We get caught up in getting to end game, being the best ___, whatever each person aspires to do. Which is not a bad thing. However, it was nice to hang out and laugh with guildies. Yes there was lag, yes there was a lot of craziness. However, it was a lot of fun for me and quite a few others from what I have seen. Stress test or not the team did a great job and watching my guildies turn into rowsdowers really made my night! Great job Carbine/Community team on a fun event that let us stop and reconnect with the community that we play with!

This rare and unexpected event did something no one expected WS could ever achieve. Guildmates got together in game and they had fun....FUN! All that it took was getting them together in order to do absolutely nothing that the game offers.

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED Carbine! You now have a road map leading you into the future.

Jesus, is it really too much for Carbine to give some pet that's just an existing model to these people as a prize and not pissing off the, hilariously small, userbase they have?

Why should they? Their fanbase is apparently happy to just stand in one spot and do nothing with no reward. So why make an effort?

Carbine gets crap for giving out tiny prizes like that too. The real problem is a lack of transparency. Did Carbine tell people what to expect from this ahead of time or what it all very vague?

They already did that, and doing it a second time is just too much to ask.

I've seen way too many people defend a bad online game with "well I had fun shooting the poo poo with my friends".

No, you dolt, that just means you enjoy shooting the poo poo with your friends. It doesn't negate the fact that the game is bad
