The co-ord sup fire move demoralized one of my mates last week when my Squalo kept entering it.

Mini Market had a fire sale on the N3 rulebook. http://www.miniaturemarket.com/cvb2..._eid=a8053d0e73 Out of stock now, but it makes me think something new is coming out. Maybe they're going to release a combined N3/Human Campaign book?

Ohh, I guess I didn't catch it was replacing the main rulebook. I thought it was just bringing the contents of those two up to N3.

I am so frustrated by CB's sculpting priorities right now. With both Zhayedan and Govads lacking models, CB has - in back to back months - decided that the right move is to release resculpt boxes of Naffatun and Jannisaries. gently caress!

So, I'm going to be taking ALEPH to an upcoming 16XP Tournament, and I'm really battling to find something I like. I've been so spoiled by Yu Jing of late - Not a single game where my Ninja doesn't earn it's keep, or the Zuyong Invincible being an incredible LT. I feel like I'm missing something in the following list, but am unsure WHAT. Aleph ────────────────────────────────────────────────── Group 1 9 1 1 AJAX 2 Combi Rifles, Nanopulser / AP Heavy Pistol, EXP CCW. (39) TEUCER (X Visor) Feuerbach, Nanopulser / Pistol, CC Weapon. We have lots of speculation and basically zero hard facts. There will be new stuff, Tohaa will be in the book, and a bunch of rules with be re-written to N3 standards. Whether or not they're significantly changed, we have no idea.

We're about to finish a slow-grow league at our club before summer, but I'd like to continue the format in some way or the other after summer as well. Not necessarily a growing league, but have some sort of league or campaign system that could keep interest up for Infinity. Something that new players could easily join and nothing to serious like hard core ITS play. I was thinking maybe the 20x20 system but I've only tried it a few times. Any ideas? Anyone done anything similar?

You go into it knowing what the mission is and it doesn't require specialists (though they can help). The YAM system is more hidden, where each player has secret objectives, and requires knowledge about what to do with civilians.

Man, Infinity is unforgiving. A lot of new players at the store tonight; I wound up walking one of them through his second game. He had actually grasped the rules extremely well for someone only playing their second game, but even pulling as many punches as I could without just playing bad (which wouldn't really help him learn) he got nearly tabled. He took the whole thing really well, but it reminded me that this game demands a resilient mindset. The game system just gives you so much rope with which to hang yourself, especially with AROs. Not to mention that losses typically look very one-sided. Though it didn't help that he borrowed his friend's Shasvastii army since he'd forgotten his own JSA at home. So many special rules. Hell, I've been playing for something like three years and I still don't understand how half of the Shasvastii special rules and equipment work.

I'll be playing my third game tonight. It has a steep learning curve, the rulebook being kinda lovely (e: for new players) doesn't help either. But at least in a store there are other players to ask. I've come to terms with the fact that I'll lose every game for a few months. I learned how to play Eve Online for a while, I can learn this no problem.

Well, Infinity is taking off here locally again, got some games lined up tomorrow night and our monthly kegger gaming day looks to have more infinity games lined up than 40k (which the group is even named after) I am quite pleased. Though inebriated infinity is bit more difficult than sloshed 40k I will admit. One of the newer players picked up some CA, so I am moving over to Haqqislam as we don't have a Haqq player yet, and I like variety. I am working on vanilla haqq for now, waiting to see if a Caliphate sectoral may be in the works. Any Haqq players out there have tips for someone making the move/neat things in faction to try? So far I really like the idea of Nafftun (waiting for the rescuplt box to be available at my distributor), got a Fiday and a Ragik primed, and Kum, Mutts and the vanilla starter on the way.

I'd love to give advice, but after spending an hour and a half of writing about Haqq units only to have the forum eat my post I'm not particularly excited to repeat the process. Buy and field a Djanbazan HMG, use your template-toting troopers as corner guards, and bring plenty of Haqq's high-WIP specialists. Don't expect Haqq HI to be very kill-y - their advantage tends to lie in their also being high-WIP doctors. Field your starter Hunzakut as the Rifle+LSG FO rather than as the sniper - the sniper is a terrible option compared to the Hunzakut's other profiles, which are probably the single most cost-efficient and versatile skirmisher in the entire game. I think that's the rough gist of the many many words that are now lost to forum fickleness. Corbeau fucked around with this message at 21:30 on Jun 16, 2015 |

Not really a fan of the hard case's arms or head... Why does every dude in Ariadna now seem to be hitting steroids? The hat and head... ehhhh no. But the bow and rest of the body is pretty cool. Not sure what's the better load out for them - Tactical Bow and Light Shotgun for 12 pts, or Tactical Bow and Rifle for 14 pts. I am guessing the Light shotgun might be a bit of a redundancy due to the range band for both weapons favouring the 8" range, but the Light Shotgun does also have the blast template, allowing you to hit groups of dudes if you get them all under the one template. Rifle gives you more flexible range bands to attack on, if you're looking to have a dude who is good in medium-close range. No idea how these guys will play, but I am interested in finding out

Can camo-markers and Impersonation markers claim objectives? If the mission obective says "a model" needs to be in base contact, I guess they can't? Is there a general ruling?
