Nations don't respect our laws, they respect that we are the 800 pound gorilla and that we can make life unbearable for anyone who opposes our will. Snowden is a hero and a genius, and if he was doing photo ops with Kim Jong Un at this very moment it would not detract from the mitzvah he accomplished on behalf of all humanity.

Well, Ukraine has just recently closed their air & ground space for Russian troops transiting there, and there may be efforts to kill smuggling from there into Odessa which may kill whatever it counts for economy, so there has been a lot of noise over it the last few weeks, but nothing earthshaking. I wonder if after the narcomoney dries up the region will heat up or someone shoots at Saakashvili.

This article may be interesting on it's own. In general, sparatuvs has excellent point - most articles from Sputnik International and Russia Today, which concern factual, or seemingly factual, actions in Ukraine, especially in it's eastern regions for this and last year and it's southern regions for good half of last year as well (and this too, to a lesser extent), will more often than not contradict, to a varying, on case-per-case basis, extent, with their counterparts with mainstream media and news agencies outside, with slight oversimplification of the matter, the CIS and a select few other states, none of whom, to that matter, are part of Anglosphere and/or "West". Russian media and news outlets for domestic auditory does share similar traits, though there is significantly more variance to it.
