Oh man, that new hell background is amazing. Worst part of hell was the eye searing backdrop. I've been hyped since they announced 1.3 and I will continue to be hyped for another month.

Anyone use hosting services for Terraria servers? I was going to use WASD Servers or Vortex Servers and was wondering if anyone used them in the past.

Every time we play friend of mine just hosts on his desktop, he has a pretty good machine but it's nothing amazing. Last time he was running 3 servers with between 3 and 8 people, IIRC, didn't have any lag issues. Might want to look into doing that.

Worst case scenario, just host with a disused older computer, Terraria is extremely easy on your hardware. Get a cheap domain and set up an DNS server if you absolutely need it to be on at all hours. Probably cost you less than using a crappy paid host service.

Expert Mode looks god drat horrifying. I wonder how the hell you trigger it and what new poo poo it brings. It'd be cool if they gave another Hell boss or something, but I have a feeling you beat a new boss up top and it sets your world to Expert. Also, there were a lot of lasers in that trailer. If you go back and look at the first videos they were releasing for this game, you would never imagine that it would evolve into something like this. Hopefully all the Steam integration doesn't mean that TEdit will stop being a thing you can use.

It blows my mind how much value for money we've gotten from Terraria. 1.1/2/3 could very easily have been listed as expansions/DLC, but we're getting it all for free.

I'm assuming those are new biomes they showed off. I wonder what they could be? Underground Desert? That second biome with the medusas and skeletons in Roman armor looked like it could be that or an expansion to the floating islands. That third biome with worms and scorpions could be a desert expansion as well, or an alt/expansion to the Hallow since some of the enemies dropped Souls of Light there.

The part of me that loves Terraria and hasn't played it in quite a while is happy to see new biomes and items, as well as seeing NPCs doing something. The part of me that was here for 1.2 and its later patches wonders what new toys Mages will briefly get to use before another indignity is tossed at them.

This dude is annoying to listen to but the method works and it is 100% legit. You can see how to get every key or a specific key in a few minutes HERE Granted it doesn't help with the hardmode dungeon.

Kinda sad I'm more hyped about this update than anything I saw at E3 (except Fallout.) Is anyone going to put up another goon server, finding all the cool new poo poo would be awesome with other goons.

Still wish I could dictate which biome the game would start me in. I love starting up in the snowy biome, but takes some world rerolling to not get one a ways off to the side. Wouldn't matter too much if there was world wrapping.
