Anyone who says "so and so wasn't very good but it's still way better than almost anything on network TV" probably doesn't watch a lot of network TV.

I remember watching season 4 for the first time. I made it through three episodes and I determined it was garbage and stopped. I have never seen the rest and i dont remember what happened. Anyone here saying season four is watchable has nothing of value to contribute to society and frankly should be euthanized.

The major problem with the puppet episode is the puppets themselves- they're the uninspired off-brand Muppety things you see on Christian kids' TV. Granted they had to look like the characters so that's limiting, but it did feel like they didn't do enough visually with the idea (compare to the Claymation or videogame eps and the nice goofy designs there.)

I really don't think the actual puppets were the problem with that episode. It was probably the cringe-inducing songs and terrible writing. If I have to say anything good about the episode I think I liked when Pierce yelled "drat you Vicki!" or something when the balloon went down.

Okay so I bought season 4, it was on sale at JB Hi Fi for $13 AUD (normally it's $20-25 in stores). Then I found out a weird thing: season 5 has never been released here on DVD.

While it was still on NBC, I stopped dedicating Thursday nights to Community thanks to Season 4. Then I'd catch it on Hulu... on the weekend.

I didn't say "wasn't very good", I said "wasn't as good". I still enjoyed it, even though I thought it wasn't up to par with the rest of the seasons. And I suppose I meant network TV as a blanket statement for CBS programming, which is what I think of when I think "network TV" because of how god drat popular that crap is. What do you consider good on network TV? And I mean the big four broadcast networks. I'm not being snarky or anything, I'm honestly asking. I'm sure I'll agree with you on a lot of it.

"Are we sure this is a game and not some art film?" Man, I loved that episode. Both plots were fantastic, and Gina Gershon at the end was such a treat. On a related note, I've been going through a rewatch as well, and I was kinda surprised at how much I liked season 1; I never did like the pilot much, and that probably colored my recollections of the rest of the season.

I'm gonna join the top episodes chat from a few weeks ago and do my top 10 of season 1-3 now that I've rewatched it all. In chronological order: s1e10 - Environmental Science (the first truly great episode of the show IMO) s1e23 - Modern Warfare s2e08 - Cooperative Calligraphy s2e14 - Advanced Dungeons and Dragons s2e21 - Paradigms of Human Memory s2e23 - A Fistful of Paintballs s3e03 - Remedial Chaos Theory s3e10 - Regional Holiday Music s3e14 - Pillows and Blankets s3e19 - Curriculum Unavailable So many of mine are gimmick episodes, but that's what the show does so well (most of the time). Pillows and Blankets probably just pushes out in front as my top episode of seasons 1-3.

It must be like when you see your best school friend, only now it's two years after high school and he's still acting like that and you're trying to tell them "that was fine then, but you have to grow up" but it just doesn't take.

That's much better than the comparison he used after watching the Jeff's dad episode, when he said it was like watching your family get raped on a park bench.

It takes a lot of guts for the writers and actors to acknowledge the gas leak year, I love it every time they do it. I hope this thing gets another season but I'm more than satisfied with it. I remember when season 2 was unlikely to happen.
