There's something almost naive about that online era when someone saying "I like to pretend I'm a talking ocelot online" garnered so much hatred, considering that nowadays you have a wide spectrum of legitimately horrifying shitheels loving up the Internet for everyone, whether it's calling SWAT teams down on people, or ranting about how child pornography is free speech, or generally anyone who posts comments on any news article about literally anything. Furries are basically harmless. Let them draw themselves as animal people all they like, even if it's weird sex stuff. Better than more gamergaters in every respect. Well it's less creative and more technical. I've been trying to do some comic book storyboards and this post really helped out. I realised I didn't have to try and draw in crappy stick figures or grab stock photos or anything, I could just use lines and dots to get across what the composition should look like and let the artist work off that and the script. In theory, anyway. I don't actually have an artist, it's all basically just an exercise to see how good at it I can get at it. But I'd really love to do a comic book (or webcomic) some day, and the better at scripting it out I get, the faster the process will be in the future.

That's still an awesome breakthrough. Let me know if there are any further developments. Speaking as an artist myself (sadly can't volunteer myself as I'm attached to another project) planning determines whether or not anything visual will be successful or not way way more than actual technical skills, as vital as those are. If you can get the structure in place you've already done most of the important work.
