I expect around here (maybe a bit more for Bernie in NH) is where the polls might stick at least until the debates.

also keep in mind this is the first jump with those numbers, we'd need another poll to make sure this isnt an outlier/issue with polling methodology but imo thats cool

I knew two Vietnamese brothers who chose Tom and Jerry due to the cartoon. Tom eventually changed to Tim once he realized being named after a pair of cartoon characters wasn't hip past grade school.

It's actually a decline for Bernie in NH based on the last two polls, which were both in the low 30s, but yeah the Iowa jump will need to be confirmed.

Donald Trump did a stupid:

http://money.cnn.com/2015/06/25/media/univision-donald-trump-mexicans/index.html?sr=fbmoney062515trump1040story

quote:

Univision is canceling its telecast of the Miss USA pageant, an event partially owned by Donald Trump, to protest Trump's offensive remarks about Mexicans.

Univision is the biggest Spanish-language broadcaster in the United States, so its decision is a blow to the Miss Universe Organization, a joint venture of Trump and Comcast's NBCUniversal division.

Last week, in his speech announcing a run for president, Trump deplored immigrants from Mexico who "have lots of problems" and are "bringing those problems to us."

They're bringing drugs, they're bringing crime, they're rapists," he said, adding, "and some, I assume, are good people."
The comments caused an outcry. Jorge Ramos, a prominent Univision host, called Trump's remarks "absurd" and "prejudiced."

Claire McCaskill, a major Clinton ally, unloads on Bernie Sanders

Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.) unloaded on her Senate colleague Bernie Sanders on Thursday, saying the Vermont independent is far too liberal to make it to the White House.

“I think that the media is giving Bernie a pass right now,” McCaskill said in an interview on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.” “I very rarely read in any coverage of Bernie that he’s a socialist. I think everybody wants a fight and I think they are not really giving the same scrutiny to Bernie Sanders that they’re giving to, certainly, Hillary Clinton and the other candidates.”

I don't believe I've ever read a MSM article about Bernie that didn't describe him in the first few sentences as a "self-declared Socialist."

Making fun of Piyush would be racist. Making fun of Bobby is silly.

This whole statement is written in the third person and then in the last sentence, it suddenly switches to the first.

I know in the grand scheme of all things Trump, this is a minor quibble, but it's just so weird.

Edit: Ah, so you guys noticed this as well.

And its a great general election move for Clinton. She's going to proudly run to the center of Sanders in the primary and use that to limit Republican attacks on her as too leftist.

And that line of attack will be less effective because she'll have run to the center of a real honest socialist in the primary.

Look at 2008, part of the reasons the socialism attack on Obama work so well is because he ran to the left of Clinton.

Running as far to the center as you can while still winning the primary is a pretty successful strategy.

check the feeds.

Republicans seem caught in this middle ground with Sanders between wanting to dismiss him as a socialist and wanting to prop him up as a true challenge to Hillary. The conservative media likes to talk about "Bernmentum" a lot but its really meant to drag Hillary down. But they have to act like he can overtake her and be a serious contender for it to work.

A search for Donald Trump apologies leads to a bunch of news articles from the last election where he tells other candidates not to apologize for things.

Apparently the few times he has ever actually apologized, he gets his assistant to do it. Like when one of his hotels mistakenly kicked out one of the Duck Dynasty guys for being a hobo.

There's legitimate reasons the guy is worthless, I honestly don't see the need to lie and pretend he's a bad businessman because he uses bankruptcy law to his advantage.

The whole line of argument -- he's a bad businessman!! -- is stupid to begin with, by using it you are implicitly agreeing that the president should be a good businessman. At any rate you aren't going to convince anyone but the choir that a person with a personal wealth of over a billion dollars is terrible at business.
