Back in town finally and without some girl inviting herself over every weekend. Hung this up since we all had to move for work out of offices n poo poo, boss asked me what the hell it was and I said "a flag for motivation". I can keep it as well. I find that with ranked games in general you gotta suck it up and just hit that play button, otherwise you get ladder anxiety. Instead of slowly dipping your toe into the cold lake, just cannonball into it.

Unless they switch from a TV anime to OVAs, there's no way they'll be able to capture that. well yeah, a tv anime is never going to produce semi-realism that's as detailed/dynamic as Araki's (an OVA probably wouldn't either, see: the Berserk movies). the monthly format changed the pace of consumption for his stories though, so they're portioned differently and thus feel different when you read them. this is probably a 7 thing more than 8 though, as 7 was incredibly concise when it came to just telling its story with minimal """filler.""" 8 still retains some of that, but you do have stuff like Shakedown Street that brings back the feel of 4 and putting the journey over the destination.
