Draft Suit Big Board: Actually look pretty good 1. Winslow 2. Willie Trill 3. Dekker 4. Towns 5. Booker This is a suit 6. Lyles 7. Grant 8. Kaminsky Big mistake 9. Oubre 10. Mudiay 11. Okafor 12. Hollis-Jefferson So bad that it should actually effect their draft stock 13. Russell 14. Payne 15. Porzingas 16. Turner I don't know who the guy third from the left and all the way on the end are, but they're both in the second tier

Kelly Oubre's shoes hearken back to Dante Fowler Jr's shoes during the NFL draft. Dante Fowler suffered a torn ACL his first 20 minutes in practice. Will the same fate await young Kelly? Only time...will tell.

NickRoweFillea posted:straight up brolic, you know stuff, why has going sockless been on the rise lately? Dress slippers have traditionally been associated with lounge suits and people who do a ton of coke in Miami. I wouldn't wear them to an event that there will not only be photographic evidence of when you are googled, but that you will also remember for the rest of your life. But they're super in right now because of the whole Versace trend and shorter cut slacks are allowing people to #ankleflex If you look at all of the suits on the stage, the people that look the smartest have properly sized pants (down to the middle of the back of your shoe) and dress shoes.

Winslow, Dekker and Booker are looking sharp and I actually like Oubre's suit but the shoes ruin it. Frank Kaminsky looks like somebody named Frank Kaminsky. Payne looks like an unholy Lou Williams/ Carlton Banks experiment.

Wesley Morris has done his draft analysis. Highlights:quote:Karl-Anthony Towns’s box was a crop of this-way-and-that curls. He wore a double-breasted gray blazer of zoomed-in herringbone, with a panel of dark leather (or something) on the collar, over a silky black shirt with a watch chain looped around the collar. He went first, to the Timberwolves, and when he rose from his table, I felt certain that Al B. Sure! was his spirit animal. quote:Jahlil Okafor, selected third overall by the 76ers, sported a red tuxedo blazer (apparently tomatoes are in season early). It had a black shawl collar that ran upside down. If this thing plunged any deeper, Ludacris and Tyrese would be parachuting cars into it. quote:I’d considered going over the top about Porzingis’s suit, with its vaguely sagging crotch. But I’ll get over it. New York, it seems, will not. http://grantland.com/the-triangle/the-sportstorialist-2015-nba-draft-style-report/

Anaranjado posted:Wesley Morris has done his draft analysis. Highlights: Loved this bit: quote:The person to feel bad for in all of this is Frank Kaminsky III, who went ninth to the Hornets. For weeks, he’s been roundly mocked for his promotional tweets (from the account @FSKPart3) about his JCPenney sponsorship. On draft night, ESPN’s crew caught someone asking him whether his suit — in the same executive gray as Silver’s — was also JCPenney. The reply was a meek, rueful “yes.” Indeed, he was dressed for long hours in the shoe department. Alongside the many stabs at luxury and glamour and boyish sexiness, Kaminsky seemed out of place, out of touch, and utterly conventional. But Kaminsky’s very averageness speaks to the dreams of the average American man. We at home hope for a show, but millions of men hope to put on a suit and go utterly unnoticed. Frank Kaminsky should be their superhero: Today’s Invisible Man.
