A discussion in BSS about Jack Kirby's designs for Roger Zelazny's "Lord of Light" led me looking for alternate interpretations. And I found this artist who has done some pretty fantastic work, getting the mix between fantasy and superscience almost perfect.
I recently finished the book and these are amazing.

I haven't read anything past Stardust Crusaders, but I think adult-man JoJo works as a marine biologist, so all of that is actually probably in character.

Our oceans and fisheries wouldn't be in such a catastrophically poo poo state if Jotaro were a real marine biologist.

Did JBA specifically mention bottlenose dolphins at some point?

Jotaro works as a marine biologist after the end of Part 3, and he has a real fondness for dolphins (there's a bunch of them on his outfit).

There's also an Abdul one, the one with the jagged line going down from the eye. I imagine the one with the scar across the nose is also some character I can't place. Presumably Iggy, from context, but I'm not sure.

Yeah, I'd bet money that Tribal Tat Hedgehog Dad is some goober's self-portrayal there. He may or may not have the tattoos (or the kid) IRL.

One of my friends from college hit a rough patch after breaking up with an abusive boyfriend she'd been sharing an apartment with. She had some friends from high school in the area who happened to be in the process of shedding a roommate, so she moved in with them.

These people were major weeaboos who'd had a kid and gotten married at like 19. Now in their early 20's, they were taking their kid on larp excursions and poo poo- not that I have any problem with nerdy parents exposing their kids to their hobbies.

What I do find problematic is the dad's Facebook albums being chock-loving-full of drawings of him and his toddler as Pokemon. Yes, he has a Poke-sona (lol) and, yes, my friend has gotten the hell outta dodge.

Also, since it came on TCM last night, I went looking for fanart from a movie called "Twice Upon a Time". Not shockingly there's not too much floating around, but someone on Tumblr named Snoozlebee did some pretty good renditions of the characters.

Also, someone got a tatoo with one of the Figmen.
