It's filler in that it's diverging from the source material in order to extend the buffer zone before this adaptation catches up. I wonder if Saitama would just murderate people for hitting him. I guess he could have gauged Garo's strength from the hit, but if not, that was ice cold. Edit: Just noticed that Garo's attack drives Saitama into the ground. This manga is great.

It is pretty amazing to see the big bad of the arc going up against the hero in filler, the villain gets loving trashed, and it works perfectly fine. Really though it doesn't matter if it's 'filler'.

That is filler? I"m fine with it. I just love it when Murata goes "plain" when Saitama gets annoyed. I also love how dedicated Genos is. He hasn't learn talking about his teacher's baldness is touchy.
