Also UGA's Justin Scott-Wesley getting knee operation of some kind, set to make a full recovery. Not like we have like 1.5 WRs on campus or anything.

And your friends and family are also prohibited from doing so, as well? How is that even enforceable?

"But on Thursday, Miller alleged to The Clarion-Ledger that in addition to the contact made by agents he is aware of violations that occurred during Tunsil's recruitment as well, including claims of falsified academic records and gifts made by the university. Miller also alleges that the agents have provided Tunsil with other benefits outside of transportation, including gifts of cash, clothes, help with car insurance payments and more." http://www.clarionledger.com/story/sports/2015/07/03/ncaa-investigating-ole-miss-questions-tunsils-stepfather/29676631/ welp, here come those sanctions we've all been waiting for

Can someone explain to me why an entire part of a Universities Athletic Department gets in trouble because some agent tracks down a player and gives gifts or whatever? Yeah I get it's wrong in the NCAA eyes. But like what is a program suppose to do? Have someone with every athlete 24/7? Maybe their more easy on the University now and just punish the player?

I'm almost positive all major D1 programs have loads of compliance officers and people who are supposed to look out for the athletes, especially the football players.

Yeah universities literally have small law firms specifically to keep out of NCAA trouble, it's not like ignorance/inability to follow the law is an excuse

Are we sure that getting a little side action from France wasn't an impermissible benefit and we have to give back all of our flags and go back under English rule?

Henchman of Santa posted:So I get a lot of random emails and press releases because I used to write for a news blog in Detroit, even though I haven't lived in Michigan since October. Just got this one from PETA. I know the Fulmer Cup is dead but illegal wallaby possession and sale has to be worth something. Emphasis theirs. I got that email too, and responded accordingly. Cutler and the guys' biggest problem was putting their wallaby online, instead of taking the effort to directly contact the girls that they want to impress with the adorable animal. Classic rookie mistake, but these are the lessons you learn in college.
