Is that what they re-translated Deep Dungeon to be?

Anyways, I had started working on the name from an astrological perspective, with Serpentarius being "The Great Serpent", a name also attributed with Midgardsormr, and indeed, the name of one of that boss's attacks. (Well, it was translated as "Midgar Swarm", but after FF7, we all know that it's Midgardsormr.) I had completely forget about the FFT character, although the slightly different spelling of the name might have been what threw me. I still know that guy as "Eldibs". I've never played any of the remakes, only the PSX version.

Yeah, in the retranslated War of the Lions version of FFT, Deep Dungeon is now "Midlight's Deep."

And we can be pretty sure that anything involving Serpentarius will be linked to Zodiark and, by proxy, Elidibus.

Love all of the FFXII/FFT references in this game.

To anyone who hasn't played it, or anyone who enjoyed it but didn't play the remake: play the remake if you're able to. It's so loving well done. (Still not as good as the Tactics Ogre remake though)

FFT is my favorite FF and it's not even a contest, and the lion's share of the reason is because of the story. But I did stop mostly giving a gently caress as soon as everyone started turning into random garbled monsters/side quests. I'm pretty sure this is the most obscure of references.

It's definitely obscure. You have to know your stars in constellations for it to make sense. I didn't and now there's a whole new world of :staredog: open!

Regarding VA's I did notice some changes between in Heavensward, mainly because everyone overall improved. Everything sounds a bit more natural/less forced, which mainly helped Urianger, Merlwyb and Raubahn.
Then again, everything's better than Random Ul'Dahn citizen #3 :colbert:

the best FF's are the ones without JRPG combat, because Atlus are the only ones who seem to want to introduce some actual threat into it.

Except 13. 13 would have been improved by JRPG combat.

Guess I'm replaying FFT the next time there's maintenance. Is the Android version an acceptable port? The $14 price tag is quite appealing.

holy poo poo, they finally released the android port.

The IOS version was good. More or less a straight port of the PSP version, not a butchered hackjob like all the other mobile FF ports.

So I just got an e-mail about a Return Home To Eorzea campaign. I haven't been keeping up with the game since Heavensward (lack of :10bux:), but does that contain free login or something of the sort? Or is it just "if you pay again, we'll help you up with gear"?

This link isn't being too clear, but I'm leaning towards the latter.

Nope. If you haven't already used your free 30 days from when you bought the original game then you'll need to buy another month of subscription. The Recruit a Friend dealio doesn't extend to people who already used up their initial 30 days either, btw

This has come up a lot of times, both here and on the official forums. There doesn't seem to be a way to increase the size and no official word has given on whether they plan on doing anything about it. The only fix is to play at a lower resolution, unfortunately.

10 hours?! Holy poo poo now I understand why people are complaining about the 3.0 stuff being locked behind the MSQ.

Long, long before. 10 hours is probably an exaggeration but you do have a ways to go. Ramuh is 2.3 if I recall and you still have all of 2.4/2.5/2.55

Also I'm not sure why he mentioned the first three hard mode primals cuz I don't think they're mandatory for anything?
