I'm not crying power creep just yet, but I've heard rumors that USAriadna was horribly OP in tests. And here we go, a very strong face of what was already the strongest ITS faction.

We'll see if the new book balances it out. But I'm still pissed off after the N3 release and learning that Steel Phallus was balanced for N3 from the start and hence confirmed undercosted compared to other factions; Tohaa too, but they had different bonuses like iKhol geared against new MA, so it affected them to a lesser extent.

And I'm getting an army pack too, plus 2 extra Foxtrots and Marauders. Got an itch to start Ariadna for a while and I like the minis. And if it turns out to be power creep I'll run some hard-porn lists on tournaments for a while and stop buying new things altogether.
tbh it's not too surprising, the newest factions have blatantly shown pushing the envelope in points costs, along with already giving the strongest two factions (Ariadna and Nomads) strong new releases one after the other.

E: I'm not QQing although it kinda does sound like it, but this has been happening since HS in a few ways.

Modeling advice, Sheskiin needs conversion to not fall apart when you think about her wrong: convert the glaive to a sword or replace the pole with a steel rod, and file/epoxy-glue/greenstuff the asscloak so it looks more like a part of the suit.

The rulebook preorder included a mini no matter where you got it from, so I assumed all preorders of USAriadna would be the same. I could be wrong.

Van Zant is the GenCon exclusive model they're selling this year, he's not in the USAriadna box.

There's going to be a wide-release of his resculpt later in the year, though, so I'd wait on that unless you really want VZ right this second.

I'm glad they're combining it with the non-campaign stuff from Paradiso as well, they really need to get all the re-release stuff out of the way as quickly as possible.

Also in that video: 16 new sectorials, so 2 per faction?

We'll almost definitely see some kind of state army for yu jing, an indian faction for aleph, svarlaheima for pano. Probably a straight EI force for CA. Who knows for Tohaa, something with lots of chaksa maybe.

Haven't seen the video yet, but summarizing what we know going in (question marks being long-running speculation):

PanO: Svalarheima, Varuna?
Yu Jing: White Banner Army, Invincible Army
Haqq: Caliphate, Khanate
Ariadna: USA, Kazaks
Nomads: Tunguska, Black Hand?
Combined: EI, Sygmaa
Aleph: Vedic, ???
Tohaa: Uplift Sectorial?, ??? (ninja sectorial?)
Mercs: at least two have been mentioned as possible merc contracts/factions ala Warmahordes. Don't recall names though.

I think the ones you mention for PanO, Yu Jing, Haqq and Ariadna are pretty widely accepted, being hinted at and just the logical choices. Nomads will deffo get Tunguska but the other is a bit up in the air - I would personally love to see some sort of semi-mercenary faction, like a nomad-based QK.

Combined those guesses are logical. I really have a harder time seeing how they will push Aleph and Tohaa sectorials though. Maybe I just don't know much or enjoy Tohaa but I don't see too much distinction there, and their model count just isn't high enough.

Mercs as a proper faction are the most likely for 'new' army.

Vedic for ALEPH of course, but I wouldn't be surprised if they also receive O-12 as a sectorial, which includes a lot of units from other armies.

It will also be hilariously bad at actual military stuff. Their troopers having to be shot at 4 times before they can legally return fire. Unique faction "shtick" is a new rule called Rules of Engagement. All models except Black Ops models have this rule. For every Black Ops model you use, you automatically grant a victory point to your opponent. Rules of Engagement will leave your troopers permanently marked as they will continually shine a light at their O-12 flag for increased visibility and presence in the theater.

Their line trooper will be called a Peacekeeper. They each only carry one grenade and 3 orders worth of shooting ammo. You need to roll off before the start of the game for every model/fireteam to determine nationality. If your Lt. is a different faction from the majority of your force, you subtract one order AND lose your Lt. order. If your Lt. is the same nationality as the majority of your force, you lose your Lt. order. If everyone is the same nationality, proceed as normal. Their heaviest weapon is a light rocket launcher. They have no camo troops, and very little high-tech stuff.

I'd drop Fusil with Combi into group two and shunt a Bulleteer up straight away, they're quite order intensive models so you need to be spending orders on them. I'd be tempted to say same with the Indigo or one of the Auxilia too. 13 orders is a really, really awkward number to work with though. I'd be tempted to drop the Kamau and get some cheaper models in there. (Pathfinder and Mulebot/Fugazi?) to up the orders.
