Since I'm in the Beetle now, I tend to take Washington/Jefferson from my home on central/Thomas to my work on University/Extension in Mesa. The area the sign is in is one of my favorite places to people watch at night, especially since my shift ends at 0100.

If you come into the office and are appearing sick, coughing, or whatever, you are highly likely to get a "Go the gently caress home. Keeping with phone chat: I've had my Nexus 4 since they first came out and it has been the best phone I had since my Nokia 6100. It's starting to show it's age now and android 5.1.1 is making it crash and go non-responsive more than it used to so I think it's time to get a new phone. The Nexus 6 is too loving big, and I'm leaning towards the Galaxy S6 and just putting a stock rom or something on it. Anybody want to recommend anything else?

HTC One M8 - been solid so far. I had to do one factory reset a few weeks ago when something went haywire, but its my first time in 5'ish years of Android I've had any issues. Took all of about 30 minutes, and everything was synced so it all just came back and works without issue. Wife's S5 has also been fantastic, as has my Nexus 10.

Buying a phone with the intent of loving with it is pretty bad. Just go to the store and play with phones and buy the one you hate the least. Nexus 6 haver. Great phone, too loving big, got over it. Although it makes my work phone, a 5C, feel like a tiny baby phone that is going to blow up in a million pieces if I so much as look at it wrong.

We got my wife a Moto G because she constantly dropped her expensive-rear end phones. Of course she has managed to use this one for over a year without cracking the screen, breaking the trend as soon as she got a cheap phone. However it's been a loving burr under my saddle since pretty much day one, when she powered it on and said "this feels slower than my old phone". Since then I have enjoyed more or less daily comments on the order of "ugh this phone" when it takes a rather crap photo (a Moto G weakness) or when it is slow to open a link. Luckily today it finally shat itself and she's switching over to my old Nexus 4 until we buy her a new one. I will meanwhile try to revive the Moto G... I suspect that without Whatsapp, Facebook, Groupon, Expedia, and god knows what else running all the drat time it might be pretty responsive. Edit: it's got drat good battery life though

My loving cassette deck in the van finally broke in addition to my radio being hosed on the way home so I just sat there in silence contemplating the fact that every loving aspect of my job is horribly hosed up way worse than anything portrayed in Office Space. Honestly there was nothing in that film showing a client sending in a 1 page RFP typed up in all caps with no grammar then bitching to you how you didn't understand what he actually means and pricing should be held. Or the fact that their network drive is so small you are only allowed to save poo poo as PDFs despite the fact the system is so lovely you frequently have to manually edit word documents then a week later the advisor wants something changed so you have to redo the whole loving thing wasting another 45 minutes of your life. I need a new job and career.

Stopped to help two girls next to a steaming, extremely overheated car at my usual highway exit after work. Put water in the reservoir and it just boiled off in minutes, huge leak on a hose on the drivers side of the radiator where the bodged fix her grandfather or uncle had done using some tape and a hose clamp had failed. Car is hosed; bald tires, blown radiator lines, oil leaks, valvetrain noise, and an oil warning light even though the level is fine. Waited for the highway safety patrol truck to show up and had him tow it to a nearby parking lot. Feels super lovely not being able to help more than just diagnosing the problem

It's probably not the most fun job I've ever had, but it probably fits me the best of anything I've ever done, and the pay is the most I've ever made which doesn't hurt either, and after 4+ years here I'm still on a fast track for raises and promotions because it's painfully easy to be 'exceeding expectations' when compared to 75 or 80 percent of the people in the office who are doing a good job, but basically just punching the clock. I have a Galaxy S3 which (other than the currently cracked glass because I'm apparently not good at gripping a phone) works perfectly fine, and since I own it, I have no plans to replace it anytime soon.
