I don't get why people are so adamant about not doing the Riddler stuff. In City I remember it took me a few days of hunting since there was a million of them and you also had to use Catwoman and the game didn't come out over summer. This game took me a couple hours to round up all the of the Most Wanted's left after I finished the main story. Now granted, I did all the side quests to the best of my ability as they opened up in the main story. Still, it wasn't a big deal to me. I mean it's one thing to not have interest, but the vocal minority's response is like gently caress THIS, NOT A CHANCE, I'M GOING TO YOUTUBE!

Seeing the extra map is pretty cool. Surely related to the upcoming DLC. The trailer has me pretty excited to play as Barbara. More Dual Play is always welcome. Fingers still crossed on Nightwing, Robin, and Catwoman not ending up like Harley and Jason.

I've never collected all the Riddler trophies in any of these games, that poo poo's just tedious. Once I beat the game I'd much rather spend time playing through challenge maps than scouring the city for those stupid things. Unfortunately that's not much of an option with this game.

I liked the Harley dlc. Much too short though, but her character felt pretty unique and the maniac meter or whatever it was was a neat twist on play style.

Harley definitely felt like something they quickly threw together for pre-orders rather than any meaningful content. I hear the Red Hood stuff is similar.

Ugh, I just noticed goons will yell about broken limbs in combat if there's a lot of them. The Knight also has a pretty disturbing line if there's one soldier left - he'll start ranting and shrieking about how he can still hear the Joker's laughter in his head. Troy Baker completely nailed that performance.

Honestly, they're just tedious and there are far too many trophies with little reward. You should get some boss upgrade for going to the trouble. I've gotten them all in previous games and have maybe 15 left in this one, but the collect-a-thon has worn out its welcome by now. Once I 100% this, I'll probably revisit it in 6 months or so when the Season Pass is cheaper. A really solid game, and Rocksteady's experiment with the Batmobile was pretty bold, love it or hate it. I still think the amount of tank-related gameplay segments and militia-based side missions could have been cut by 40-50% and the game would have been better for it.

Found kind of a funny, repeatable glitch. If you have the PS4 exclusive Scarecrow DLC, after playing it the weather gets kind of screwed up. Rain will almost completely vanish at the ground level on Bleak Island (there won't even be any water droplet effects on Batman). What's kind of funny is that it makes the weather go insane in interiors, too. If you go into the clock tower afterwards it's just a full-tilt monsoon and lightning show, like it's being haunted by the vengeful spirit of the Weather Wizard or something.

Huh, never heard that one- does it happen in any particular predator section or its just random?

Also it's kinda funny how every Robin is exactly 6ft tall, black haired, blue eyed precious crimefighter. They got lazy with the weights though- Jason Todd is 200 lbs as both Robin and Arkham Knight, yet he looks normal in the flashbacks , but pretty big in the present.

I don't know if it's been talked about already, but how are people liking the more realistic art design. I think it worked in some cases- I liked the Riddler because he just looked like an idiot in his getup. But Harvey Dent to me just looks out of place. And Joker... he just doesn't look like a real person- his features and his body are just too exaggerated I think- too thin and sharp. In Origins I think they tried to at least give him a more realistic frame (and added buckteeth wtf), but here they just took the Asylum model and softened his features a bit.

It can happen after he's unmasked, I know that for definite. It might be something you can hear in NG+ Predator sections as he starts breaking down, but I've heard so many people freaking out at Bats they all kinda blur into one at this point. :v:

Also I definitely prefer the slightly more grounded style. It's nice not having everyone be roided up - I see a lot of skinny and chunky goons for example - and the colours that do get used really stand out. I won't get tired of swooping through the city during a rain storm as the casino lights reflect off everything.

I think you're giving Rocksteady too much credit here. He doesn't look off because he's not real and a hallucination, he looks off because they kept their old design from the previous games since I guess it's hard to reimagine a character that is so unreal to begin with. And there's even this- the Joker in the Killing Joke flashback looks like he has a different body than the one who's your playthrough buddy.

The Joker certainly stands out as the most physically stylized non-mutant in this game, which makes him a bit jarring set against the other characters. Particularly Harley Quinn, whose facial animations I thought were quite frankly stunning, particularly considering the throwaway part she plays.. That said, I think it works for the Joker. He doesn't follow the same rules as the other villains throughout the franchise, hanging out in Batman's subconscious, swapping places in Batman's hallucinations in Asylum. It's fitting that he looks surreal.

Scarecrow is by far my favorite design update. In Asylum he looked creepy, in Knight he looks downright terrifying. All the canisters and vials strapped to his outfit make him look like some kind of nightmare terrorist, and the leg braces are a really cool touch, and somehow very fitting for the character. It's definitely the best visual take on him I've seen, comic or otherwise.

Yeah, I really liked the leg braces, Scarecrow's whole design gave the impression that's he's barely stitched himself together after the Croc attack.
All the main game animation (facial and body) were top notch- I loved all the little nuances and touches- which made Batman turning into a robot when doing side mission dialogue all the more jarring.

Yeah, that's something I noticed too in City- way too many people listed with black hair, blue eyes. So if that really is Bruce's type (and who can blame him really ) I can see why he's so keen to protect Gotham.

I think a datapack was worth 4x more in Origins than in Knight. Relatively speaking, its probably even more, since there are a ton more upgrades in Knight.
