SO DEMANDING posted:the battery life on that suuuuuuucks how does the gesture thing work? do you need to use setpoint to have them work? can you remap the buttons into the mouse itself and go without setpoint entirely? one of my favorite features on the mx1100 is that i could remap the dpi rocker to be a volume control, but it's dependent on setpoint (which i dont have on my work pc). i think i might really miss that the entire switch would be gone on the mx master, and it sounds like the g700s would not only have the buttons but also allow me to program the remap into the device itself the battery life is a compelling reason to avoid tho... hmm

maniacdevnull posted:how does the gesture thing work? do you need to use setpoint to have them work? can you remap the buttons into the mouse itself and go without setpoint entirely? you push the "hidden" side button and move the mouse in a certain way. i personally don't use the feature you can't remap buttons into the mouse, that's really a gaming-mouse kind of feature. also neither the G700 nor MX Master actually use Setpoint, the G700 has some crappy "logitech gaming software" thing and the MX Master uses a program called "logitech options". the logitech options program is something new and kind of weird, it's very streamlined but offers less options than setpoint or the gaming software and i'm really not sure why they made it it sounds like you might actually want some of the gimmicky features the G700s has, but i'm gonna warn you the battery life is spectacularly lovely, like 3-4 days vs 2-3 weeks of the mx master

i hate the strongswan documentation: i have a strongswan vpn to, among other things, bypass a lovely proxy that blocks the internests only troll free forums. it goes to a lovely vps in canada, w/e. its a cert based ikev2 vpn with strongswan 5.w/e on both ends. vpn is overall good, traffic goes out and back in, posts to forum well. however some sites (notably tumblr hosted images) i think the packets become too large with all the crypto poo poo glued on and then the mtu is not right and they get dropped before exiting my vps leaving my computer thinking there was no response. on the vps i get icmp 590s (fragmentation needed) for teh failing urls. I tried turnign off mtu negotation in proc but still doesnt work. any ideas???

you need to take the maximum mtu of your network and subtract all the various crypto headers from that and put that as the max mtu for your SA.
