I tried to make the patient and the bed bloody instead, but because of the transparency it's going to require some masking (to ensure that the blood only appears on the visible area of the patient for example - not in the gap between the arms and the body) Yep... that's going to need some work...

I sunk like 20hrs into my project to get something playable, discovered it totally sucked, was going nowhere, and would require a boatload more time and effort doing boring stuff and burning me out even more. So, I scrapped it. I'll be damned if I'm going up on that wall though.

Well I lost at least part of the week due to re-installing Windows 10 with the wrong ISO but at least made some progress. Also lost a fair amount of time to trying to solve the whole rigidbodies going through walls thing.

So I blew more than one day trying to figure out a faster way to create and draw maps in the game. Then realized that doing it manually or just making a single big image would actually have taken less time then what I was doing given the simplicity of the game I'm making. Of course I also figured out fun ways to stack sprites on top of one another, keep them together, and turn them on and off as needed to have things like stuff that draws over other stuff and extra decorations and features like carpet stains and stuff. Rather than just making a single new tile I can layer stuff now! Amazing! I LEARNED THINGS! X is already successful!

Alright, progress! I feel very good about how much I was able to get done today. HTML-based GUI (which will make things very very fast for me to make a nice GUI, because webdev is my day job), weapons saving and loading to and from JSON files, and local multiplayer. Awww yiss! (It's not the most exciting gif... but it's hard to work multiple controllers at once!)

Wrangling Unreal Engine to allow for gravity in more directions besides Z takes effort (mostly getting someone elses code to compile into a usable UEEditor.exe) but now I have the gameplay mechanic that is needed for my final idea. A parcour-game without a logical and fixed gravity. I was hoping for Local Color to make something related to MC Escher but critical omission serves that purpose just fine in hindsight.
