They say, "you mean it's just sounds?" thinking that for something to just be a sound is to be useless, whereas I love sounds just as they are, and I have no need for them to be anything more than what they are.

I'm not sure who it was, but to the person who took all those medium-format portraits paired with the same pose only with arms reaching into frame adjusting the model slightly, I took this today of my nephew and thought about you.

I just submitted a couple of works to the Taylor Wessing Portrat Prize at the NPG in London. Did anyone else here?
It's a huge long shot- especially in B&W it seems- but I figure it's too important an exhibition to not at least try.

your tags have ilford, kodak and tmax. Which is it? Also, did you create a fake border with a film frame?

So I packed up my Salvador Dali print of two blindfolded dental hygienists trying to make a circle on an Etch-a-Sketch and headed for California.

Kodak makes Tmax, and Ilford makes paper.
And nah, that's just what a normal wet print border looks like.

A cursory glance into the thread would've shown that this is what you do with your prints, regardless.

You haven't posted in so long that all the new posters think you're faking the borders. Post more often.

I dunno what's going on above his head with the hair or spiderwebs or whatever but it's distracting. I like it otherwise

That wouldn't be super hard to photoshop out, I don't think. It's a nice even background to replace it with.

Also dig the border of door frame and flooring. Looks really nice.

Doves would be flying out of her eyes and there would be some kind of silk shower curtain floating in the background.

First one is pretty good I like your lighting, second one doesn't seem to work - I don't understand the pose or composition and the cut off fingers are distracting.
