Might only lose 2. Looks like someone hosed it up.

Movistar getting crowded a bit tight and now loving their line.

Movistar just detonated on a short climb. Idiots.

Were they sitting up to yell at the fans or each other?

Need to get some aerodynamic wing mirrors.

Maybe a HUD in their aero-glasses linked to a camera on the back of the bike. And another linked to one on the front. Then Froome can do the whole race looking at the floor.

goatface posted:Were they sitting up to yell at the fans or each other? They were yelling at their team car to tell them to knock it off on the front. Seems he was in a bit of a day dream though and didnt say slow down for ages. Either way they just hit the afterburners for the climb, great time.

This is really showing which teams are a joke, and is bizarrely better watching than the past few days of stages due to how some of them are loving it up.

Yes yes, after being poo poo at TTT all season, Sky is 0.62 seconds behindthe World TTT champions and would have won if it wasn't for Nicolas Roche

Graphically illustrates how rampant doping is given there was only 40 seconds between first and the 8th team.

I'd be really sad if it turns out the Yates brothers were doping. They just seem like seriously chill but endlessly positive guys.

Richie Porte is such a boring gently caress. BMC and Sky both rode a good race, was definitely a more interesting stage than the previous ones. Bring on the mountains!

Quintana took a bunch of time out of Froome during week 3 in 2013 right? And that was with a time trial. I think he's flying under the radar a bit right now - only being two minutes down at the end of the first week seems like the best position he could have hoped for.

Any discussion of that stage deserves to be quarantined in CyclingNews's "The Clinic" forum.

Yeah this is ridiculous and I don't think I'm gonna watch anymore. Something has to be done about Froome.

Shouldn't the number of riders needed to cross the line just be a percentage or fraction of the number of riders that start the stage? So if teams lose riders they could still burn one or two guys? Maybe they'd still not stand a chance against 9 man teams

Teams deciding if they kill a guy in the days before the TTT because they think they can get a faster time with four than five.

40k mountain stage TTT would probably kill a dude, especially if it had a few good, fast descents in it. They should do that.

Apparently the reason sky can maintain power at such low weights are the revolutionary, never been tried before, ideas of a dietician and smoothies.
