The Ellimist's alien culture is still weird to me. They all live on floating crystals, which are kept afloat by the race themselves holding it up with their own wings. Just seemed very backwards for a race that was pretty advanced. Course, it was a race of gamers, so they probably had it coming when they got blown up.

Animorphs was good but it probably has not aged well because that was a long time ago. If you to re-write it as an anime, though, I feel it would be very popular with a younger crowd.

They tried to re-release it recently, but I don't think kids want 50+book long series anymore. They shou'ldve condensed the whole thing down to 5-7 books, that would've been a lot more successful, I bet
