I bought an iPad Mini 3 to replace my iPad 2 that was big, heavy, and old. So far I really dig it.

The Nvidia Shield seems to be good http://thewirecutter.com/reviews/best-android-tablet/ If you want it to be slim like the iPad the Dell Venue looks good too. Mu Zeta has a new favorite as of 10:38 on Jul 14, 2015 |

As for why steel: 1) Custom carbon, if I were to desire it, is RIDICULOUSLY expensive - even by high-end cycling standards - and there's like one person doing it that I know of (Argonaut.) 2) I wanted to focus on all-day rideability compared to my carbon bike. 3) Steel bikes feel awesome to ride and they soak up vibration, and custom fabrication allows tuning the frame to my preferences for weight/stiffness etc. through selection of tubing, shapes and geometry. 4) It will last forever. strangemusic has a new favorite as of 04:45 on Jul 15, 2015 |

Those look beautiful, good choice! Can't wait to see the finished product. Material strengths aside, when I look back at carbon and aluminum frames of years gone by most of them look pretty dorky by today's standards. A nice steel frame never goes out of style IMO.

Caved and bought an Xbox One bundle from Prime Day. I already own a PS4, but caved because of Rock Band 4 (all my old rock band content is on xbox) and because of the XB1 version of Fallout 4's ability to play mods. Prime Day still sucked noodles though. Also picked up Ex Machina on bluray. edit: oh, also apparently had Supertroopers bluray saved in my amazon cart for $4.99, so bought that too. I bought a Fire HD 7 on Prime Day. Of course, the $69 price tag was a tad misleading. I ended up with the 16Gb w/no special offers for $114. I paid much more than that for my first gen Kindle Fire three years ago.
