The last time I heard about it, weapon damage was something like 20 to 30 times more important than mainstat per point, which is in turn several times more important than other stats. I don't think it is currently possible to jam enough skillspeed onto a weapon to offset two points of weapon damage increase. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the current best use of esoterics is to save it to buy a weapon on week three unless your eso weapons is incredibly lovely and you have a4s on farm by then.

As a cheap and lazy "omnicrafter", I expect I'll be slowly and gradually getting myself scrips gear while churning out materials that the spendier true-omnicrafters will want to use. Mostly because gently caress melding and gently caress desynthesis.

It's looking like it'll take 9-10 weeks PER class to get all the crafter scrip gear if you're maxing your scrips every week. So yeah, it's completely not feasible to plan on gearing out more than 2 or 3 classes with scrip gear, and you MIGHT have that done close to the time the next expansion comes out. If you're putting scrip gear on all the classes, you're looking at 1.5 years of capping EVERY week.

Garlandtools also doesn't list any upgrades for it, unlike the i180 crafter gear which lists the i170 stuff as an upgrade (due to higher stat caps). Right-side has new crafted and meldable gear for both gatherers and crafters, though. They are two-star recipes that seemingly require at least the i180 crafting stuff to get the stats for.

As a reminder, even if you (like me) plan to skimp out on the blatantly superior crafted left side stuff for scrip gear, prepare to get hosed anyway on the new jewelry and belt recipes that were added to go along with this nonsense.

It's even worse than people think, too, because the majority of the new recipes require items that need scrip-purchased items to make, like Raziqcoat for Aurum Regis Ingots and so on. So even if you don't wanna spend your red scrips on the gear, you will have to spend them on materials to make the crafted gear with assuming you don't buy the going-to-be-heavily-price-gouged ones from the market, and since there's a weekly limit to the red scrips you can get... yeah. Like I said, crafters/gatherers have a long grind, so please look forward to it. Lumis fucked around with this message at 18:36 on Jul 21, 2015 |

Quick napkin maths: Across the i150 leftside (and i140 belt), you can meld a total of 65 control, 24 CP, and 74 craft. This does not include offhands or mainhands.

Astrologian is almost in a really good place, though If it was my call I would make the following adjustments: 1. Change shuffle so you can't redraw the same card. 2. Increase the strength of Nocturnal Stance's shields to be at least as good as an non-crit Galvanize. 3. Change the Spear card so that it reduces the cooldowns of skills that are already on cooldown, instead of skills used when you have the buff. (This might be an engine limitation or something.) 4. Change collective unconscious so you can move and heal without it disappearing.

I'm assuming for WAR the optimal path will be weapon > chest > legs since the Alex normal versions of those are poopy. Too bad about the front loaded 3 dry weeks for the weapon though. My stubbornness of not bothering to get drops from Alex is gonna bite me when people start putting i185 gates on Bismarck and Ravana pfs

Someone on reddit is mad about what this system means for gatherers:quote:New crafting recipes which use the legendary nodes are hard gated behind Purified Coke, and require 5x purified coke per, while only requiring a small amount of the new legendary materials (No more than 2 different materials, of which it's usally 1x of, rarely 2x). The Purified Coke, what recipes involve those? I can't wait until someone does the full breakdown of crafting and how this is all going to shake out.

So as someone who has enough melded right-side from 2.x to hit 600 GP pre-food, it seems like the best call is going to be focusing on buying our leftside with scrip (and start banking Gil) while we wait for crafters to geared enough, then have rightside crafted and melded after?

I think i'm going to be going Chest -> Accessory -> Weapon, which you finish up in 5 weeks.
