Seems this episode is going to go full weird as Max plays around more with the time stream. Didn't think the End of the World party was literal

w00tazn posted:wowowowowow That might be why it's taken longer to come out than the other episodes. It looks like a lot of crazy poo poo goes down. That + if you're one to explore every inch of an area for poo poo, it could be a pretty long episode. This is only episode 4 too, the trailer for episode 5 is gonna be bonkers

Does anyone know what time the episodes have released in the past? Do we think this will be a midnight EST release, or a 1pm pacific release? The episode looks amazing, god drat.

Notable absence of Chloe in the preview trailer. I wonder if that means we're gonna spend the majority of this episode in alt-timeline, or they didn't want to spoil which reality we're in.

I would find the lack of Chloe to be very refreshing. e: Her lovely truck is in the trailer, which seems pretty telling that we are in the original timeline. Though that's obviously speculation. I actually kind of agree. Chloe is one of the more frustrating characters in the game, even though obviously her story is central to the plot, I generally don't mind when we have scenes without her.

That trailer was non-stop dread and I'm starting to think this might end up like the director's cut of The Butterfly Effect. In case you don't know and don't care to have it spoiled: Protagonist keeps making things worse, travels all the way back to the womb and kills himself with his own umbilical cord. Man, writing it down it's a lot dumber than I remembered; hopefully the devs can do better than that. Then again, anything revolving around Max having to sacrifice her life - literally or figuratively - would feel like a cliché, so I have no idea what they can do (beside a happy ending, of course).Paul Zuvella posted:I would find the lack of Chloe to be very refreshing. This whole game so far has me thinking it's the hipster indie game version of it. That movie's better than it sounds BTW for anyone who hasn't watched it.

The Butterfly Effect is so offensively bad it loops back around to being hilarious, even moreso when you consider this was supposed to be Ashton Kutcher's serious actor turnaround project. Life is Strange shares a few similarities but I hope Team Dontnod can avoid going full retard with it.

I haven't seen TBE since it came out but I remember loving it (theatrical cut) at the time. Mostly because of Amy Smart Junkfist posted:Warren Graham is the deadliest man in Arcadia Bay and a certified pussy destroyer. i.e. has run over multiple cats in his new retro-wheels.

I know nothing good is gonna come out of the Frank/Chloe situation in my game. I tried to shoot Frank, didn't take the money for Chloe's debt, and gave the gun back to Chloe. I think that spells totally hosed.
