There's 0 grinding in P4 thankfully but hey, whatever floats your boat. I think you lose a lot without the music, voice performances and animation, let alone losing all of the gameplay.

More important than simply covering the social links, the anime does a better job in my opinion of conveying the emotional turmoil of each character who is thrown into the television.

im playing new little king story on the pstv and it has horrible slow down but also good stuff like the fact that i have a harem of princesses who are thirsty as hell and keep kissing the mc while im jsut trying to get information on where to go
