What the gently caress. In a thread about police cars stopped in front of you with a green traffic light, I suggested flashing the headlights as a less arrogant alternative to honking the horn and they told me it was a good way to get arrested. I thought it was a joke or an exaggeration

Don't get too excited though - the rubber is invariably completely rotten from sitting outside for fifteen years, the tint on the roof is hosed and peeling and water gets in when it rains. Actually it is based off the Tercel/Paseo/Starlet, not the Corolla. I'd always wondered what one of those would be like with either a 4AGE or the little 1.3lt turbo in it. But all of them seem to be autos in Australia

I do love when I'm in the right turn lane at a red light, and the Canyanero to my left is well passed the solid white line to the point that I can't see if there's any traffic coming. And then the brotruck behind me, with his bright blue headlights reflecting in my mirrors, starts honking at me for not turning. I am inconveniencing them by not blindly turning into traffic.

Last one of those I encountered, I was driving down a lane in a parking lot and some twit cutting over the lines drives right in front of me, close enough that I had to brake to avoid a collision. I give a short tap of the horn to scold him. I mean I don't care if people cut parking lots, but you gotta yield to people who are driving the grid properly. His response? Lays on the horn and flips me off as he drives by.

I was riding with my sister and we were almost t-boned by a clearly too old to be driving woman. My sister honked and waved her hands like "What the gently caress?" at her. She pulled around us, then followed until she was beside us and chucked a milkshake at my sister's car. She smiled and drove away.

What's the deal with importing AZ1s? IIRC they meat the age qualification now but are considered too unsafe or something?

Wow, I need to start an import business. just looking on goo-net, they're $12-16k FOB, there are a couple ratty outliers around $7-8k but to that extent there are $6000 GTRs In canada, it's basically $3k minimum to get a car to vancouver, and everything interesting is legal, but the scene has basically died. the novelty wore off. for most people and now it's just the same haggard cars getting passed back and forth.

It'll be the same effect as those old Hotwheels cars that need hot water to activate the change won't it? Making it pointless aside from those few times you're outside your house and have a kettle handy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0hdKmrWHMW0

It used to be the heat that activates them rather than the water so on on a car with a front engine it should activate as you drive along On that lambo it may get hot enough to be activated when left in the sun.

Saw this little thing running down the road few days ago here in Abq. Not sure if it is a real 'rallye' car or if just a tribute but it looked like a hell of a lot of fun to drive. I love older 911s.

Spent a few days in Detroit this week. GM were nice enough to lend me this to use: Holy poo poo it's fast. Too fast for the street, really. You can't push it very hard because if you do have an accident it's going to be an enormous one. Ford had this on display at their Research and Innovation building. The wear on the tires suggest it had been driven enthusiastically, too: Sounds like I will get to drive one at some point later this year. #blessed, as Lewis Hamilton might say.
