Emerson got his new girlfriend! She's teeny-tiny, still being bottle fed. She looks a little shell-shocked but I guess that's to be expected considering her long trip to join Miller's Safe Haven. I'm surprised they have taken so well to each other so soon. I really hope it works out for these two--Emerson fell in love with the last disabled cat that shared his stroller, and we were all so sad when she passed.

Maggie Fletcher posted:I have a feeling this catte is very large and furry now; please post adult pictures too, TIA. He's actually still quite small! He was the runt of the litter, and if we hadn't taken him in, the shelter was going to put him down for being underweight. So he was hand-reared, but never got very big. He is very fluffy though!

Penguin: What the hell are we doing here, Horse? We gotta get out of this town! Horse: Oh yeah, and go where? Where are we gonna go? Penguin: I'll tell you where. Someplace warm. A place where the beer flows like wine. Where beautiful women instinctively flock like the salmon of Capistrano. I'm talking about a little place called Aspen. Horse: Oh, I don't know, Penguin. The French are assholes.

I remember watching this nature documentary that included a species of bird that are practically adults when they hatch. The doc showed the chick hatch and it's like half the size of his/her parents, and right after hatching it just scampers off into the woods. I know this might not be the perfect thread, but does anyone else know what I'm talking about?
