I saw some stuff on reddit that maybe he was extremely nervous or on the spectrum or something similar. It doesn't excuse the behavior at all, but provides a lens perhaps. For a bunch of people who worship the free market, they do have a lot to say about private entities taking actions that benefit the entity. There's always some dumb drama surrounding GDQ; they were probably tangentially related to the Twitch policy of requiring shirts because it can be a less sleezy cam site and being able to point to a bunch of dudes taking off their shirts and flexing is a perfect thing to point to for a "why do men get to do it?" argument (which is legit). Actual drama in past years involved dudes getting really pushy around women in general and being generally inappropriate. loving skeletons.

This New Right Economist fella is upset because his extreme fringe belief of Neo-Reactionarianism AKA "Dark Enlightment" is frequently discarded by popular society. He finds he is unable to enjoy things because all of his media is constantly awash with messages and experiences that make him, as a neo-reactionary, feel like an outsider. The internet has become a dramatically more populous and interconnected place in the last decade. So now they run with the SJW clichee so that they can pretend that any disagreement they face stems from outside agitators with an ulterior agenda that can be easily dismissed.

The thing about fictional characters is that there's no real chance of "relationship failure" like there is in real life relationships. The problem with a lot of anime and gaming fandoms is that there's usually not somebody there telling you to pump your brakes whenever you are taking it too far. I guess people that obsess over games and anime don't really handle rejection or failure that happens in day to day life. It turns out that you actually have to put in some work and are going to gently caress up in the pursuit of women, or for that matter pretty much anything in life. Jerking off to anime titties in private doesn't really carry that risk of rejection in a way. It's not that big of a leap to start blaming women and society for your problems if you can't accept rejection or failure.

I think the love of anime and the hate of women almost fuel each other, but I would say that is the like of anime that starts it. He's young, impressionable, and socially awkward. So Mr young anime fan starts to compare real women to his anime women, and of course a real woman just can't measure up to his fantasy, so he begins to feel resentment towards real women. Like it's their fault for not being perfect like his fantasy women. He of course doesn't see "doesn't exist" as a negative anymore. His resentment of real women then only fuels his desire to watch more anime and get even deeper into his fantasy. This of course only fuels his resentment of real women even more, which drives him deeper into anime, etc, etc. It's not just anime of course. It can happen with any fiction really. Heck, it even happens with real life celebrities, but of course a fantasy personality is superimposed over that celebrities actual personality. It's very sad.

This is great because its both "loving feminists!!" and "loving Muslims!!!!". Way back in the mists of time, one of the Akward, ugly and gross POF threats had a guy who was obsessed with going to Japan because they would accept his weird, anime loli loving pedo self. He would go on and on about how Japan was more accepting, that anime was everywhere, so the values that anime had were Japanese values. He gets over there as an English teacher and is super surprised that everyone thinks he's super weird and creepy over there too. He eventually got deported because on his blog he started posting stuff like "I think I'm over 6 year olds, more into 3 year olds now" and anime images of adult men with younger children with "support love" and "Its not a crime, its love".
