Loveline podcast, episode #527, Oct 06, 1997 is *really* good. Goofy first few minutes, which culminates in Drew laughing hard enough to cut his own mike. Adam gets a testimonial to his advice over jacuzzi enemas, which suitable horrifies Drew. Adam recounts wetting the bed and laments that he'll never get a girlfriend after that pair of stories. Drew gets paged on the air. They read a fax asking for the story about when Adam built a closet in the wrong house Snoring caller. Very good show, check it out. Currently listening to the Loveline episode from 10/19/2004. Adam is going into EXQUISITE detail about lancing the hemorrhoid he had using a system of mirrors. This is also the same episode as someone mentioned above with the pierced hood/trunk mix up.

God the current show has a HORRIBLE website. I spent ten minutes trying to get the podcasts to work before just giving up. What's the format these days as well? Everything was listed as a 'theme' show. After all these years I am finally having a hard time listening to the show due to its age, and I'd like to give Mike a go but gently caress me do Westwood None make it hard work.

So tomorrow I hit Adam's final day on Loveline after deciding to go through every episode in order on lovelinetapes from the beginning of 1998. It took 6 years of listening to an episode every day at work, or a few episodes if I had a multi hour drive. The only episodes I skipped were best of episodes and anything with Stryker. What do I do with my life now?

My first run was from 2001 (when the big torrent really got consistent) until late 2003 or so, then after a break I start that again getting through most of 2001, then decided to go back and hit the early stuff on LLTapes, where I have presently progressed until early 2003 So some eps I have heard 3 times, and while there are some calls I remember (I often listen while taking walks at night, and some calls I actually remember exactly where I was when I heard it the first time), on the whole it stays pretty fresh E: For the last couple of years I've been live posting a bit, but it really is fun going through chronologically. For example, I posted some time back about Adam's first use of "Good Times," and it's interesting going from there and following how things develop. He's not just an annoying sperglord, he also appointed himself the King of Loveline and then did his damndest to get every Loveline source not controlled by himself shut down. There used to be a lot of places to get the shows but he eliminated them by getting Westwood One (I think) to issue cease and desists on anything that wasn't his. He also flips his poo poo if you criticize him in any way. At the beginning people were trying to give him helpful advice on getting the shows archived and available and it was a clusterfuck.

Like, he gets really angry that WB was promoting the Surreal Life as a show about has-beens, and I really think that he thought that he was still an A-list actor. It's all so pitifully genuine , Also Corey has a song about "negativity" and it is just the loving worst

That's why every other site has been shut down but his is still up. Also this  Unclepenny helps do a ton of work on Gio's and is on the forums and is a cool guy though.

I think there are a bunch of people out there that'd Do the same thing if they'd have the same Opportunities with the same paycheck. Drew is a paper chaser and so is Adam. I've become more and more disenchanted with them as I get older. I think they both just wanted to be celebrities as they became more and more celebrities. Adam says a lot of harmful poo poo to women and abuse/rape victims on calls and drew very rarely if ever disagrees, or steps in and says "hey shut the gently caress up, moron." Most of the time it was just silence and it would have been nice if drew, especially with a daughter, had been more of a spokesperson or role model and stood up to Adam's harmful idiocy a little more. Don't get me wrong, I listen to, and will only listen to, classic loveline all the time. I think adam and drews Dynamic is amazing and something neither has been able to duplicate since with anyone else (and that's why I never really enjoyed loveline without Adam or Adam on any other podcast or radio). I feel like they keep each other in check. But Adam would victim blame/Shame and so other lovely things sometimes and drew never really checks him on that poo poo and its lovely.
