Shoots you to test your armor. Jumps off a fort wall and shoots a bunch of turncoats. Will straight-up "Dodge this." cap you in the head. Will blow your nuts off at point-blank range. Merlwyb does cool things. She never sounded cool to me though, I got a distinct Fran-like vibe from her in ARR. A sort of 'ok I know what you're going for and how you're sounding but there's just something wrong with the way you sound.' I no longer get that vibe in Heavensward so she's improved quite a bit!

I'll be honest, I probably wouldn'tve taken much note in the change of Merlwyb, Raubahn, and Alphinaud's voices had it not been pointed out. The biggest difference seems to be that they can speak in conversational tones now without seeming stilted. Tataru was very noticeable though. Following up her performances as Rosabeth and Fiora, Carina Reeves continues to be charming and adorable in the utmost.

You need to do a few quests at your GC to unlock hunts. If you haven't done those, I don't think you will get anything from killing hunt targets. To unlock those quests, you'll need to be at the max level of your GC.

You should always have your soul crystal equipped; any XP you gain applies to the class (so your SMN and SCH will always be at the same level). You get a huge stat boost and access to good abilities at the cost of losing a couple cross-class slots.

Always have your soul crystal equipped for that class. You gain a bunch of stats and it lets you use class-specific abilities. The only benefit to not using your classes' soul crystal is that you can use more crossclass skills from other classes, but they don't make up for your class specific skills.

The blue scrip grind sucks when Marron Glace isn't the item of the day. Everything I want/need to be crafting is only in masters books but everything accepted for blue scrips is balls expensive currently.
